I can't understand why Gus didn't do that last Saturday, Seb played decently at right back a couple of seasons ago. In my opinion it would have been better than moving Van Aanholt to right back and Bridcutt to left, both of whom looked lost after the switch.
He's a 34 year old ex French international with Champions League experience. Is he any good? f** knows, but he might be better than O'Shea. Is the fact we're singing him at the end of October questionable? Yes. ...and imho I don't think its wise to line up a stranger and unknown quantity into the team on Saturday.
