Don't think the plod will like away fans entering from that side? Best we could hope for is N/W corner? Out of sight!
In recent seasons if their team has been losing, a lot of Sunderland fans have thrown themselves out.
I started on Bunkers and I loved it there. Standing was a large part of it's appeal. I went into Kempton because the low tin roof was good for making a noise. I don't like the idea of giving away fans corners. I believe away fans should be behind one of the goals and in the middle. It's only fair. Putting away fans in Upper West is wrong for so many reasons - security and sound on TV are just two. Most home fans prefer to make noise from behind the goal. It's been a bit different at the KC for historical reasons.
As Dutch has already suggested, no safety certificate, no game, the club can't just do what they want, they need SAG approval.
It's not up to the group to sign off the certificate. The clue is in the 'Advisory' part of the groups name It's the responsibility of the Local Authority alone So while the group might offer their advice that it should be signed off the responsibility to do it or not, and a Hull CC person chairs the group, it is the Local Authorities. although they won't go against the groups advice if it is to not sign it off ( they may go against positive advice if they hold a view that they still aren't happy though)
Im not saying that All I'm saying is it isn't the SAGs role to approve or not. They are an advisory group...that provides advice (and they might 'advise' that the certificate should be signed off) However it is Hull City Council's responsibility alone to sign it off or not
Isn't that just semantics though, the chair of the SAG will decide if it's signed off or not and he'll do so on the basis of what the SAG decide?
Doesn't matter what anyone decides if the police say they can't or won't, give police cover to a game.
The sound on TV depends entirely on where they decide to place the mics and how they mix the sound. Its manipulated all the time, a friend works for sky covering cricket and they do they same there, what you hear on TV is what they want you to hear and not necessarily a reflection of what's going on in the stadium.
That will be how they always make a half empty KC for rugby sound noisier than a full one for football then. A bit naughty of them to deprive viewers of experiencing the cauldron that is the KC.
It's no big deal either way really It's just that in deciding whether to sign it or not he or she is acting on behalf of Hull City Council, not on behalf of the SAG I can't see them signing if there was strong opposition from SAG members, but I could see it potentially happening the other way around where other agencies are fine with their parts of the plans, but the Council didn't like their bit they could still choose to not sign because they is totally up to them Unlikely but in theory the Police might be OK with Upper West plans but the Council might decide to be over cautious and not sign regardless. After all it's their neck on the block legally if it was wrong
