Hi lads (and lasses).

Always watch the threads and some good reads here.

Was at the gillingham game. Decent first half. ****ty second half. But that's my 2 cents.

Been a while since I've been a regular to the games but started fostering and the lad wants to go so gonna get him in early.
Got 2 free tickets for the blackpool game mid december for buying some merch, good deal.

But my question is I cannot remember any of the boozers for pre kick off drinks. Just chances it last week and went to the pub with the deaf bar staff. Forget its name but it's on 3 floors and near victory pub I believe.

As it's been a while cannot remember the main ones that had big crowds in and the free chicken wings and sausage rolls haha

Any suggestions would be great. We get off the metro near the bowling alley and walk so any in that area?

Thanks alot in advance and may just bump into a few of yahs for a pint.

Got my nephew supporting us even though his dad's a mag.

Hopefully he has a better time of it than I did growing up in 90s over Tyneside supporting Sunderland.

You must frigging hate his dad!

But taking your foster kid to watch Sunderland? That's just going too far. If he wants to be a git then merely a sound beating around the head every other Saturday and an occasional midweek pummelling should suffice.

Great post mate! I take two of my Grandkids, who are both under 12 ,as often as I can, and they love it...... mind you, so do I!
Just to feel their excitement, is very special!
It definately creates a bond, which is so important, I guess, if you’re fostering.

Asked him if wanted to go at weekend but was at his mams and he said didn't want too, think he done me a favour!

Try the fans museum halfway down North bridge st, decent pint and a very pleasent environment

It’s a debate we have..... my opinion is they need to be about 9 before they’re old enough to go.... I know it varies child to child, but that’s when I went and I have applied that to mine.

Its hard to define a lower age for kids to attend matches, but I love seeing young kids reactions when we score. However, they should be warned that the lifelong emotional health issues of riding the Sunderland roller coaster is akin to smoking, drinking and men paying for mucky women (or women to men, men to men, women to women arghh).
