So many pro's and cons to his appointment really. Yes he's a great spot of talented players and also arguably got the best out of Chris Whelpdale and Charlie Lee. However at the same time how many times can we seriously keep giving him a job? The man's a legend no doubt, but he keeps tarnishing that by coming back time and again. Also how will this affect Jake? Having him back at the club could force one of our young promising talents to fall into the background constantly trying to step out of his father's shadow. Going back to the talent spotting then his appointment as assistant is a shrewd one. The fact he has been scouting for Burnley and has access to the Soccer Elite academy at Maidstone can only benefit us. Could it also forge the same relationship that Brian Clough had with Peter Taylor (no not ours the other one) where arguably it was down to Taylor's eye for a player that got Derby promoted to the 1st Division all those years ago. Now if that kind of partnership could happen then fantastic however I'm not a fan of going back.
