Cola cubes used to lacerate my tongue, I was spitting blood for hours after. Lemon Bon Bon had so much sugar in them I’d attack my teacher. Liquorice torpedo were great at pretending you had black teeth. But the best sweet for getting attention was bazzoka joe and the free tattoo which most of the time went on my face. A teacher at our infants had loads of sweets which he gave away all the time but left suddenly after his house burnt down.
The bon bons were nice, I preferred the Strawberry ones though.

I used to like Murray Mints :emoticon-0159-music too good to hurry mints :emoticon-0159-music
Very buttery and not really very minty.

I was no fan of strong mints though. Would rather have eaten a whole tube of toothpaste.

Spangles !

Whenever Spangles come to mind I always think of the Goodies on TV.
Not sure why.
Similar typeface?
One flavour of Spangles came in a black packet. They were nice.

When I was a nipper I liked those PEZ things. Tiny little sherbetty tablets you used to put in a plastic dispenser and pop them out of the top.
Then I grew up a bit and moved on to Love Hearts :emoticon-0152-heart

I think they are still sold, but not under that name anymore. Some kind of PC infringement <doh>

I tried a Tobermory Tatty once, It was basically a huge lump of sugar, brown on the outside to look like a potato. ;Other Scottish treats are macaroon bars ( chocolate and coconut) and Edinburgh rock, which is basically sugar. Tablet is the Scottish equivalent of fudge, but slightly more sugary and less buttery.
