I’d completely missed this thread it was so far back !

Never ate a Caramac. Curly Wurlys were ok but not me favourite.

I used to love the ‘Amazing’ chocolate bars (loads of raisins and chocolate).

And slightly off-topic but I was gutted about a year ago when I went in search of some Branagans crisps only to find that they stopped making them a few years back <wah>.

Bazooka Joes <ok>

And those chocolate cigarettes in (kind of) realistic looking paper *** packets :emoticon-0100-smile

should really post this into fesshole or something, but when we were kids (30+ years ago), we used to go up the newsagents and scoff the half penny sweets while filling the paper bag for the ones we were going to pay for.

felt bad ever since.

Use to do the same strawberry picking in Swanley - 2 for me and 1 in the pot , use to feel sick after a couple of hours and rarely eat them now :emoticon-0127-lipss

I was partial to smarties when they came in a proper tube.
And those fizzy sweets like Pez, Love Hearts and Refreshers were nice too.

Haven't they had to re-name Love Hearts? Some politically correct nonsense...

My biggest confectionary sin (if you can call it that) was pinching the citric acid from my parents' wine making kits. It came in a granular form, looked a bit like white sugar.
Tasted like supercharged sherbet <steam> Lovely <ok>

I’d recommend these as a citric acid substitute…
