Today OUFC released their retained list and I have say there are a few names that surprise me, Damian Batt in particular while he may not be the best defensively is more than good enough for league 2 and on a sensible wage. Why we're offering Luke O'Brien a new contract while releasing Liam Davis is beyond me although great to see Tommy Craddock leave who must be the biggest waste of space of all time. Shame to see Dubes, Leven and Pittman go but with all 3 injury prone and on big money I guess it's no surprise really. Hopefullly Scott Davies will accept the contract offered to him, he'll provide a great midfield alongside Andy Whing. http://www.oufc.co.uk/news/article/00020513-retained-list-804232.aspx
Portsmouth sign Tom Craddock http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22514269 "I've watched Tom and he has a great work ethic. If he is not scoring goals he will keep going and be a right pest to defenders in League Two." Which game was that then?!?
I still can't believe that description of Craddock. There's no doubt that he has the ability to put the ball in the net but can you carry someone as lazy as him at this level? Well we definitely couldn't.
Great to see Scott Davies sign up today even it is only for one year, strange there's nothing on the club website about it though.
