You are right notdistant the Camara move somewhere was inevitable. We got £500k as reported on the Sky News channel. Fair enough and we move on. We will soon have another favourite somewhere.

You should read the Herald site plym. Schuey has said it is to provide a different option to what we have now. Has to mean target man or hold up man depending on your description of the job. Not totally sold on this but like all players who arrive I will reserve judgement until I'vew seen him in action. The one story today that surprises me a bit is Jephcott. Will he go out or not?? Swindon is apparently being bandied about. Not a career enhancing move for him if that is true. But of course he would play.

Luke Jephcott goes to Swindon....initially on loan....but with the option of making it a permanent deal.

103 matches and 33 goals...but no longer fits into the present scheme of things.

The truth about Camara is that he can run all day, but his shooting and final passing are woeful, which renders most of the running pointless. I'm a firm believer in the Three H's: Honesty, Honour and errr Loyalty, so if we've got £0.5m, I'm delighted. We have more effective midfielders available to us in the current squad.

At least we haven't lost Cooper. If you had said a year ago that Jephcott and Camara would be the two players to go without us banking numerous millions I think there would have been shouts of dismay amongst the green faithful. What a difference a year makes both to how the faithful have reacted and the lack of millions in the bank. Personally I'm sorry to see both go but I get why they have.

So the 2022 Summer transfer window has closed.

I think we can say that we have brought in a reasonable quality of player.

    1.....Matt Butcher.....free.
    2.....Mickel Miller.....free.
    3.....Finn Azaz.....on loan.
    4.....Nigel Lonwijk.....on loan.
    5.....Bali Mumba.....on loan.
    6.....Morgan Whittaker.....on loan.
    7.....Sam Cosgrove.....on loan.

A change back to bringing in more loan players....so what does that say ?....that to get the quality required we have to borrow...because we cannot afford to pay up front to buy quality....so keeping our spending under control.

It also shows us by bringing in Cosgrove we have changed our playing style from last season....a big unit up front giving us an option that Jephcott could never give us.

    Those moving on.

1.....Luke Jephcott.....loaned with an option to sell.
    2.....Panutche Camara.....sold.
    3.....George Cooper.....released.
    4.....Alfie Lewis.....released.
    5.....Ryan Law.....loaned.
    6.....Finley Craske.....loaned.
    7.....Brandon Pursall.....short loan.

So two regulars from last season.....Panutche Camara sold at a time when we can get a fee for him....amount not stated...but from other sources a figure of £500,000 mentioned.

Luke Jephcott out of favour now that Schumacher has changed the playing style to how he wants.....the loan of Cosgrove was the death toll for Jephcotts future at Argyle.....out on loan but
with an option to be bought later.

So seven in and seven out....but five of our ins are only borrowed for the season....and three of our out are only on loan...maybe four.

Yesterday one in but two out...shrinking our squad a little at a time when three players are still out injured.....James Bolton.....Conor Grant .....and new boy Mickel Miller who got injured during pre-season....this was a big blow because much was expected from him.

The feeling among the faithful is that we are undersized as a squad and anymore injuries could effect our season....we need our injured players back as soon as possible.

Birmingham paid £2 million for Cosgrove and they haven't as yet seen any pay back for all that cash.....can Argyle's coaching staff get this player performing for us and help other players get scoring opportunities...besides scoring a few himself....which hasn't happened since his Aberdeen days.

    INCOMING

    Adam Darren Parkes...22yr old ...6ft 1in.....goalkeeper.

Free agent.....signed till the end of the season.....a third keeper....maybe just insurance in case Cooper or Burton get injured and we will not have to put an apprentice on the bench.

OR insurance with January in mind....the next time that Michael Cooper can leave.....his form must be coming more and more noticeable and his leaving for bigger fields inevitable.

That signing is a bit of a surprise and unexpectedly out of the blue. Suppose it could be for either of the choices as to why. Hope it's for the third keeper rather than a replacement. Unlesss of course somebody pays us silly money and loans us Cooper back again.

I do like reference on Pasoti about Adams Park {aka Wycombe} though. A spy in plain sight no less.

The rules state that an EFL club can name up to five loan players in a match day squad.

So if one of our keepers gets injured....we can bring in an emergency keeper.

Meaning that one of our outfield loanees would have to be dropped from the match day squad to make room for him.

Not so. An emergency loan does not count as one of your 5 a day players. Apparently.

He has been - and still is - a fine servant to PAFC. Always 100% effort and a solid 7 out of 10 every week.

Agree with this one. He has become Mr Plymouth hasn't he and clearly loves it here. OLooks like a coaching role might also follow so he is pretty much putting down roots.

Been reading threads elsewhere about possible move for Schuey to WBA. There is talk on their website forum as well and it seems their supporters would not generally be adversed to it happening. I hope that this is just idle gossip and there aren't any legs to it.

Why do any of them do what they do notdistant would be my counter to that. There is often no logic to anything in football. If it were you or me, and admit it we are totally biased anyway, we would want to see the job through and go as far as we could with Argyle. He has a great club, supporters who love him and an Owner who backs him to the hilt. We are also financially sound and improving on the revenue front as well. In other words all thing good to excellent. WBA have a bunch of loser players and as far as I can see an owner who isn't universally loved by supporters. On the face of it why would you indeed but............. I just hope it has no legs as said.
