Their take-over has finally gone through after a White Knight (property developer David Clowes) stepped in after the expected purchaser (American businessman Chris Kirchner) failed to deliver after 2 months of exclusivity and an exchange of contracts. At that time, they only had 5 senior players so they need to act quickly.

Just be thankful we aren't in that situation,

Talk elsewhere that this gifted young Norwich player....who last season played at Championship level with relegated Peterborough....might be coming here because of a possible deal with Michael Cooper going the other way ?.....there was talk a few weeks back about Cooper being linked to Norwich ?

I bet Lyndy has a smile on his face reading all this guessometer rubbish that we come out with.

Steven Schumacher has literally promised us two more signings before the Bristol City friendly at the weekend.

Without naming names he didn't deny that one of them might be Bali Mumba....Norwich right wing back on loan.......and it sounds possible that a further player is in discussions as well....and maybe a hint that it could be a striker.

This of course is on top of the signing of the on loan mid-fielder Finn Azaz from Aston Villa that was confirmed yesterday.

We have tonight of course a more serious home friendly game against Championship side Swansea City.....this might give us an idea of how pre-season training has been going.

So two are perminent...and two on loan....the possible 'striker' we do not know if on loan or full time.

Azaz says Dom Telford, loved his time at Argyle, still has a good relationship with Steven Schumacher and actively encouraged him to come to Home Park.

Schumacher said two players by the weekend coming in.

One surely must be Bali Mumba.

Could the other one be 21 yr old Swansea striker....Morgan Whittaker ?......just guessing....they didn't use him Tuesday evening.

    INCOMING.

Bali Mumba on loan from Norwich for the whole season.

Just a striker now.....although it seemed as if Schumacher started Tuesday with only one up front.....Ennis ?

I have to say that I am well pleased with the apparent calibre of players we have signed so far this term. I need to see them perform first before a proper judgement can be made but it does look positive. I am so gutted I am going to miss the first game. You need to get a prediction league thread underway Notdistant as I am going to have to go early with my first couple.

Steven Schumacher hopes to give both Brendan Galloway and Panutche Camara a few minutes each during the friendly on Saturday against Bristol C.

Also hopes to be able to include his recent two new signings....Bali Mumba and Finn Azaz during that match.

What perked my ears up was his comment that he was hoping to bring in a COUPLE more players for inclusion for next week onward.....he had been talking of a striker still to come....but it could be two more players that he might be adding to his squad.

Assuming that we are not going to lose any of our first team players.....our squad seems to be covered from keeper to midfield....having brought in what seems on paper to be four players that strengthen and give depth to our squad.

Okay there is still time for Camara to be sold....he is on the 'for sale' list....and he is only just coming out of an injury......Also is anyone interested in Michael Cooper....who ended up in the Div One team of the season.....there have been a few keepers moving around in recent days....so is there a club out their in an higher league looking for a good back up keeper ?.....we just don't know.

So if we lose no one....that means we only need to strengthen our striker department..... last year we had four to pick from.....Garrick who was on loan has returned to his parent club....which means we are one striker short on last years squad numbers.

Schumacher has stated that he has possibly one lined up for later this week.....today is Friday....is it an experienced player or just a raw younger player coming on loan ?

At present our four new players are split....two full-time and two loanees.

I the two games I've seen on TV, we haven't played with 2 strikers. If that's the new style, perhaps 3 is enough.

Schumacher is after another striker and is hoping to have one before next Saturdays game.

But there is tough opposition out there.....Portsmouth for instance a few days back were supposed to have no strikers at all on their books.
