One of Argyles' so called targets defender Matthew Pennington has left Shrewsbury for Blackpool on a 2 year deal.

 

There is talk about London born winger Sammy Silvera a 22yr old....5ft 8in... that has played nearly all his football in Australia... at present with Central Coast Mariners.

It is being said that Argyle have had two offers for him refused at the moment.

 

Players on the verge of returning for pre-season training.

Training match in Spain against Hearts on July 6th.

Recruitment a little slow at the moment....only one player in.....and maybe 9/10 players still required.....5 possibly loanees.

Hopefully incoming players will get a full pre-season training spell in....but things need to be happening very soon.

Plenty of players mentioned but better financial situations elsewhere might be against our recruitment plans at the moment.

 

There’s not a lot going on around the division actually: and most that has been reported is players re-signing for their existing clubs.

Kaine Kesler-Hayden....20yr old wing-back from Aston Villa here on a years loan.

Another none mentioned player.....club keeping their cards close to their chest so nobody can guess who will be coming in.

Quietly is the best way to do it. I’m pretty sure I saw this guy’s name mentioned a week or two ago as being a target for someone … but it wasn’t us.

Kevin who? Impressive but one tackle does not a defender make although I couldn't see Mumba doing that.

 

There are quite a few other clips out there. YouTube maketh not a player but he looks decent.

But to chase down and take it off K dB… lots in the Premier League have failed in that task.

Bit long winded...but interesting.

Hard to compare two completely different leagues......we just need to get the squad completed so that players can get used to each other.

 

It seems that Argyle are in advanced talks with Everton to sign defender Lewis Gibson who is 22 yrs old.

I assume it will be a loan deal....but who knows Everton are in Financial dire straights....so who knows what is in the offing

 

I've been reading on pasoti that keeper...Jordan Holmes (Australian playing for Brisbane Roar) has gone to Spain on trial with Argyle....it seems that Holmes as been on Argyles' radar awhile back.

Was at Bournemouth once and Argyle showed interest then.

The reason could be that Callum Burton has been drawing attention from Birmingham with a fee on offer.

 

INCOMING.

Not a player but a new first team coach with experience at Everton and Man City.

Will also liaise with parent clubs regarding any loan players that we have playing for us.

 

Also a new player... left sided CB who started youth career at Newcastle, then Everton. Played for Reading in Championship, then at Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol Rovers. England caps at Under 17, 18 and 20.
