    Meslier
    Ayling Berra Strujik/Casey Douglas
    Stevens Gotts Dallas Alioski
    Roberts
    Bamford

Too many changes but I think he will want to give Douglas game time, Alioski would be better with Douglas behind him. With Ayling and Berra playing there's experience alongside a new CB
Roberts, Stevens and Gotts to rest Costa, and Philips and Klich.
Unfortunately, like others, I doubt it will happen.

There's also the distinct possibility that Arteta will play his kids and rest the big guns (no pun intended)..

Only if they come through uninjured. Too close to the big prize to risk the 'must haves' for the next game. More important we play these for three points next season.

It's 90 mins of football and we only have 3 more games in the whole of January.

Injuries, red cards, spitting incidents etc etc seem far more likely when over compensating because we don't have our usual shape/pattern and general understanding.

Small squad, just gone through the busy Christmas period, give the core group a rest for me.

And then fall away like every other season...

What could be worse than being told you're tired and need a rest ?

Surely it's down to each player and the club, some will have niggling injuries and will want/ need to be rested and some will want to play whatever.
This really is a case of man management and how important the cup is for the club.

    Agreed.

Bet they all want to play at Arsenal...and that's why they all should.

However, if carrying an injury then be sensible and get some recovery time in, otherwise go and enjoy being a professional footballer.

It’s Arsenal! Scariest thing that might happen if we score is having to perform a Heimlich manoeuvre when one of their fans chokes on his prawn sandwich.

Joking aside I was seconds from death due to a jagged piece of squid...fortunately Mrs Jammy was calmness personified and peformed the manoeuvre to perfection.

Forever grateful and that's one reason (of many) why she's a keeper :emoticon-0137-clapp

When Revies boys were playing cup games he wanted to win everything, so picked a full strength team, and it didn't affect them when fitness wasn't as tough back then.

The fans back then wanted to win everything and watch a full team win.

Nowadays some fans want to wrap players in cotton wool (especially on here after following Revies boys), then complain prem teams want to wrap their players in cotton wool..................oh how some fans change their tunes.

Fielding weaker teams upsets momentum. Senior players will be saying "oh well, I won't be winning an FA cup or League Cup winners medal this year......again"...."No trip to Wembley........again"

Why don't we just tell FA and FL we don't want to enter through lack of interest.

Most top clubs effectively don’t enter it as they field full reserve teams

And people complain about the price of petrol when we just used to saddle up and gallop off into the sunset.

    So what?
