Hopefully Pardew will be available soon, he'd do a good job for you.
He's all yours!

Top post Super, needless to say, I agree with you, I´ve never been in any doubt that Hughton was the right man for the job, IF he was given the necessary support and time. Had it still been Doomcaster at the helm, then I might have feared for his life, because he was as weak as water and as changeable as the weather, McNally is made of far different and much sterner stuff. Fan-power and fan-pressure will only get the ´Hughton Out´ lobby so far, but I can´t see it getting them all the way. McNally will know exactly when and IF the time is right to say goodbye to him, and I can´t see him acting a minute before. Sadly though, there are, and always have been, an element of supporters who think they know better, and can do the job better than both the manager and the players, I´d love to see them try, (anywhere other than at my club that is) I can just imagine the mess they´d get into, but unfortunately such is this lovable game.

Sorry mate, 'we're' in this case was meant to stand for 'we were'. My point was that change isn't instantaneous. You can't go from a side that is largely looking for a point from every game to going all out for the win, although if it was as simple as flicking a switch, I bet Hughton would flick it and see if it helps him!
Hucks. Well I hope it is clear that I at any rate believe that CH is indeed "planning to slowly make us a more offensive unit as the season goes on". His focus on improving the quality of the strike force in particular this summer surely suggests that? (I also think incidentally that if a quality affordable CAM had become available, CH would have done his best to sign him.) I've posted earlier about what I think CH is aiming at in terms of shape; but it will take time for the players to make it work. That's what he needs to be given. Putting him and the team under even more pressure is not the answer. I really do hope that enough people recognise what he is trying to do and that it will take time.
On a different note, I wish moronic fans would stop harassing players and Mcnally on twitter, it doesn't help the team at all.
But I've never wanted Hughton out, I'm still hopeful he will turn things around.
Also when people say he has lost the dressing room, how do they know that? are they actually inside the dressing room themselves?
it tends to be said when there is bickering on the pitch between the players, which to be fair there was at times against villa. it's almost always nonsense and pure guesswork. the players won't be happy at the moment and quite rightly - they are letting themselves down on a far too regular basis
I think the bickering on the pitch was out of frustration more than anything, which is understandable in the Villa game.it tends to be said when there is bickering on the pitch between the players, which to be fair there was at times against villa. it's almost always nonsense and pure guesswork. the players won't be happy at the moment and quite rightly - they are letting themselves down on a far too regular basis
the manager needs to show conviction and go with his instinct - that's all there is to it. he'll never be able to satisfy everyone anyway

Which is exactly what he did away to Spurs, his insticts in that case echoing what many on here had said beforehand. Then irony of ironies, he was slated by others afterwards for not adopting a sufficiently defensive approach!![]()

To me, bickering on the pitch doesn't mean dressing room unrest. It's simply a great indicator that the players care.![]()
that's the thing with instinct - it isn't always right! but far better to trust it than over think and bow down to other peoples expectations. he just needs to get his head down and work hard. it is going to be difficult for him now and he looked a little surprised by the reaction at the weekend. i think you tend to expect boos these days if you lose a home game but to hear boos for a sub is pretty awful
Can I ask, and it's not a dig at any CH believers, but after winning on 2-3 games or so in 25 odd games (not sure on official stats) - when will he begin to 'get it right and the results will come'?!
