That would certainly get more games to make up for lost ones, but who knows what will happen, 5 relegated the year after or 4 relegated for the next two years

 

It happened twice - after the Milk Cup win and in the early 90s! I've never forgiven Liverpool fans for that! No tears from me if they lose the Championship!

I meant championship of the PL. I shouldn't have capitalised it!

 

The EPL will do everything possible to finish the season in order to avoid: financial distress for teams, giving back sky money, disrupting the transfer period etc. But if the season is to be suspended/cancelled this is the fairest solution I've read. And it should avoid litigation by teams that might feel unfairly treated.

I would rather see four teams relegated two years in a row than the slaughter of 5 regulated after one season. JMO.

 

Yeah the alternative is three relegations but only two promotions two years in a row.

 

I didn't think about that way, Rob. That works, too. The EFL would have some input since the organizations are supposed to work together on the problem.

You're probably right about that. Every club affected by the decision will argue in their own self interest, the greedy barstewards. Whatever the powers that be decide is OK with me - as long as NCFC stays up.
