He's a natural finisher, doesn't matter what league you are in, if you can finish consistently for your local Sunday League Team then you can finish in the Premier League!

Glad he's scored himself a goal. It sets him up very nicely to be offered a short-term contract with the club. After all, what more would the club want to see than him scoring goals? Especially on his debut with all of the nerves and pressure.

This.

Pardew and co are in attendance so to score a nice top corner effort aint gonna harm his chances.

Exactly. Was it £12,000 that he was meant to cost? On top of that his wage will be minimal. There is absolutely no harm in taking a punt on him, win-win situation for us.

personally i think you just get some people that can finish pure and simple kevin philips is a good example he could've played in any side and finished in my opinion. ian wrightjust knew where the net is plain and simple. who knows if this kids just been flying under the radar or was a late developer ala wright? for a throwaway fee we might as well have a look at him.

He's a trialist from Bogna Regis, 23 years old, but scored something like 95 goals in 119 games. Was going to move to Eastleigh FC for £12,000 before we hijacked the move and offered him an oportunity. Eastleigh, fair play to them, said they wouldn't stand in his way, but WOULD look at compo if he did sign....All in all, if we got the lad for £13k (with Eastleigh getting a grand) I'd be happy!

Or a weekends pay for Smithy.

Chuffed for the lad. As long as he puts in 100% effort for the rest of his trial he knows he has done all he can.

Defo sign him up...12k is **** all....smith's wages alone are something like 60k!!!...and if he manages to score and turns out ****e we can sell him for 1m

True that, think we will sign him up. Could see an easy profit, even if we sell him for 120k after a while just because his value has increased playing for us it's like 10 times more!
