Evening all,

After watching Barcelona playing the other night it got me thinking, should English teams be allowed to enter their reserve teams into the lower English leagues like the Spanish teams do? Every game I see Barca playing they seem to have a new youngster playing and they always fit straight into the system. This is obviously from playing in their reserve team in the 'Barca style'. If teams were allowed to enter their Reserve teams into the lower leagues it would be like having the whole team out on loan and would be beneficial to the first team in the long run. It seems like it's better for producing talent and may well cut down on team's reliance on bringing players in from overseas for millions of pounds as they can promote players through their reserves. This could also mean it's better for the national team too. I reckon our reserve team or 'development squad' would be able to hold it's own in the Championship or League 1. Would this strengthen the top flight clubs or just weaken the lower leagues?
