sounds sensible to me damage. Give the guy a proper run out before consigning him to the dustbin. And as far as i'm concerned If we're considering Fer as a striker then it's going to be an even longer season than i imagined!!

So is Hooper an emergency loan for Sheff Wed?

Do we have the option to bring in another player for 3 months outside of the transfer window?

I thought this was only possible for out of contract players and also thought emergency loans were only 30 days.

I recall when Paddy Kenny was injured we were unable to bring in someone on an emergency loan.

Perhaps this is all about the number of players currently listed in the squad and Sheff Wed are perhaps short of their quota?

Gary Hooper: Sheffield Wednesday sign Norwich striker

Sheffield Wednesday have signed Norwich City striker Gary Hooper on loan until 17 January.

The 27-year-old former Celtic forward has only featured twice for the Canaries this season.

He scored 12 goals in 34 appearances last season as Norwich won promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt via the play-offs.

Hooper is unable to play for Wednesday in their League Cup fourth round tie against Arsenal on Tuesday.

He is likely to make his debut for Wednesday in Saturday's home game against Nottingham Forest.

Carlos Carvalhal's side are currently unbeaten in eight games and sit four points outside the play-off places.
