Yes I wound up the Leicester fans a bit, but not once did I direct any personal abuse at any of their posters, or use expletives to put my points across. On the morning of the game I wished you lot good luck- there were enough hints to make it pretty clear that a lot of what I said was tongue in cheek! As for bitter, everything I said was true- Leicester were inferior all over the park. Genuinely disappointed by how poor they were, and I really can't understand why you're raving about the performance? There was no tactical genius in there, your side came to play- but couldn't because we were better. I personally quite enjoy AKCJ's posts on here, adds a bit of spice. Fair play nines though, he's gotta do his job! Can pop back over if you're missing me? I'll respond to anything you write on the QPR board, but it wouldn't be very magnanimous to head over to the Leicester one after your (undeserved) win. Enjoy it!
Although AKCJ was about as classy as a boxed wine and I love Nines like an online brother, I fundamentally disagree with the principle of banning people who's observations annoy us. Stan put it better than I yesterday:
AKCJ's (sometimes misguided) posts have probably generated a lot of football-related discussion on here, which can never be a bad thing in a time when OTposts are increasingly prevalent. Maybe a warning prior to banning would've been my choice, but nines is a cracking mod so once again I support whatever decision he makes!
Everyone views the game from their own perspective and posts accordingly, I personally don't get offended if the opposition are crowing about a win, I'll expect us to have the last laugh and, if not, so what? Look at what's happened to Bob in the past week, there are far bigger things in life...
Barton knows the score and yet still managed to push enough buttons with the ref to stupidly get himself sent off. Although the game already looked beyond us by the time he got his marching orders he still let the club down badly yet again. I know there's a tendency at LR this season to see him as some kind of misunderstood anti-hero but the truth is that he's a bad tempered idiot who will be a liability wherever he goes. As with many managers before him, HR will now need to decide if Barton's undoubted passion, ability to break up play and set play delivery are worth more than the risks inherent in his personality. When you take account of his poor passing which can often lead to breakaway chances the decision is marginal IMO.
For those of you relatively new to the board, some time ago we used to have single match day threads for both sets of fans on a regular basis. They got a bit messy sometimes but were often great fun. Then they were banned. can we have them back they were fun
Please no. We've got a clown from Leicester on our board who hopefully will move on to his next victims on Boxing Day.
