Can I just ask, does Pearson tell your players to be ****s while celebrating? Today must have been the fourth or fifth time I've seen one of your players celebrate in front of the opposition fans after scoring.
This sort of topic does get people going and I was going to post this subject myself. The ref imo was awful Joey gets no protection and sometimes I wonder how he keeps it together perhaps this should be raised in a post match interview on Sky putting it out there to stop other teams targeting him and to make refs be impartial . That said it was unprovoked at the time so he got what he deserved. Another point I would like to raise is BAE after his attempt to get at Austin ( absolutely appalling cross ) is he the right SORT as HR would say. Perhaps the recall is already in place personally not what I too see from our players. Finally just to add some fuel to the fire woulkd love to have seen Tarbs on for the last twenty !! There I said it
It always amazes me how opposing fans have such a totally different take on the same event. That is football and our own natural bias towards our own team is what makes it interesting. Agree to differ here, I say. What I would also say is that I fear we could both find ourselves in the playoffs as Derby's confidence grows if both our teams put more performances in like today.
I love this (lack of) logic!!! Your guy said one thing, ours said another, therefore our guy is right! Oh how partisanship can make us all look like such fools at times!
If we put more performances like we did in today then we'll walk the league. Cardiff did it to us almost exactly a year ago today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20738186
Yes Joey was an idiot today and he probably regrets his actions and certainly his reputation preceded him. The ref was an idiot too and didn't know what he was doing half the time as shown by the goal kick turned into a corner after Joey's red card. But he is not to blame for the defeat.
Not the first ref to be unduly harsh on Barton this season and won't be the last. He should know this by now. The ref can go home and tell his kids that he sent Joey Barton off today. Someone might even buy him a pint, so good for him. Overall, though he let Leicester referee the match, he didn't get any major decisions wrong IMO. The corner he awarded towards the end after the linesman gave a goal kick seemed like cowardly kowtowing to Taylor-Fletcher.
Love it Seahoop - I am the eternal optimist but something about the way we play makes me uneasy. If we go 442 we get swamped on midfield yet we have more prem hours in our team than any other championship side. Will we only go 442 if we sign crouch ? I don't like the fact that dunne and hill are so old - BAE ' a attitude stinks o'neil does not do it for me and we do nothing out of the ordinary. We could have done with the unexpected today ( Tarbs ) I would honestly live us to go up but worry what will happen if we don't. We have a lot of old players. - if we get promotion then it all starts again with new players having to gel etc - I am still a little optimistic though
I'm not surprised. I think that's 7 reds in 15 games from this ref. seems card happy to say the least!
Absolutely!! Watch the replays if you have it recorded on Sky. Benayoun got an elbow in the face at the end and that should have been a pen. Dirty side and that was part of their game plan. We are going to stuff them on 19.4.14.
Swords, have you seen the replays? The pen shout for Hoilett was much more than the one that was given against Villa for Chelsea a few weeks ago and Benayoun got an elbow in the face at the end. Two clear penalties IMO.
