How many times do we have to spread +rep before being able to give more +rep?

I always try and +rep but still need to do more.

I was coming back here to repay the kindness from you guys/gals for the +rep given to me in my short time of being a member on this forum. I was spreading a bit more but still not able to +rep you all back as regular. Now I know the ten +rep a day and the 20 before more +rep to you guys rule I will be able to payback much sooner than before.

Today has learnt me you can still teach a getting old dog new tricks.
