for all those complaining about boyd diving, if anyone watched the man u - pool game today they actually mentioned that sturridge was entitled to go over when clearly vidic didnt touch him. Big club/small club. AND boyd never spat at hart all over twitter that hart has said the same and that he called him a prick, dont forget this was after the alledged heatbutt
If you allowed pushing and shoving there would be anarchy. There's a difference between a deliberate push and contact that's part of a reasonable attempt to get the ball. I don't think the rules say you can't be fouled if you are facing away from goal or don't have a shooting chance.
it was incredible, it actually bent round our defenders and then curved into the far post, you don't stop those ever
I dont really care what Hart, twitter or football pundits say, if I can see Boyd spit at Hart then I will know that Boyd spit at Hart. The "headbutt" wasn't an headbutt - neither was Pardew's, but the FA has to decide what is a yellow card or red card in these regular occurrences. There's too much inconsistency when there's aggressive behaviour. Elmo should have been sent off but Elmo was in the line of sight of the referee and somebody else - Livermore? - was in the line of sight of the assistant. Shouldn't he get retrospective action then?
looks guilty judging by this.. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-citys-joe-hart-defuses-3247579
Elmo's tackle was **** all. There was no force behind it at all it was a little flick of the leg. Silva was rolling around like a little bitch but at the same time telling the physio not to come on cos he was fine.
Yeah, what's 12 months out with a broken leg and a possible end of a career? When Brazil played Portugal in 1966 there was about 20 of those tackles before half time. Those were the days!
looks a lot worse when slowed down like that. As for Elmo's tackle on silva, looked like he won the ball at the time, Silva rolling around didn't help himself as he was soon back up without a limp.
Hart said that, because he didn't see it. Either you are deluded or didn't watch the MOTD replay where it clear shows Boyd puckering his lips and spitting. Hart didn't see it, because Boyd had just turned whilst Harts head was in the side of Boyds. Hart is lucky to ben on the pitch after that incident, Boyd, a VERY good player, just disgraced himself as he hit the deck before Hart reached him. You are clearly a twat, even your own fellow fans thinks so. If Suarez did what Boyd did, to your club, you would be livid. Grow up, your team isn't infallible you knob!
What are you on about? My whole point was that that tackle wasn't dangerous. A high foot is dangerous if you're flying in, stamping, etc but Elmo's was a little flick. It wasn't even slightly dangerous. I hate bad tackles as much as anyone and don't care for this 'it used to be a man's game' business but that simply wasn't dangerous and no way did it hurt Silva.
I've seen a picture somewhere on this site and his leg clearly wasn't grounded. It wasn't a stamp in the slightest.
I don't think Boyd intentionally spat. Seriously. My proof would be, you try and prepare a wad of saliva ready to spit out AND spit it out, aimed with perfect direction, with almost no mouth movement whatsoever. It's impossible. There is absolutely no way it was intentional. There would also be a sizeable amount of spray, which there wasn't.
Maybe it's unclear as to whether or not Boyd actually spat at Hart but, having seen the replay for the first time tonight, his dive was a disgrace, and he should be hammered by the club. We all rail against divers; the real test for us as fans of the game is how we respond when one of our own players is guilty.
After seeing the replays some more, I am starting to think it wasn't an intentional spit. It looks to me now, that he's got a mouth full of slobber, and he's saying something to Hart that has made it be pushed out as he's speaking. You know, the whole "Say it, don't spray it" lark.
I don't know if Boyd spat but if Hart has come out and said he didn't, that should be good enough. As for the alleged dive, I think I'm with 'Happy'. Watching the game live over here in Oz - it looked like a penalty in real time, then didn't look like a penalty in slo-mo when shown with the camera facing Boyd and then did look like there was contact when shown in slo-mo again from a side angle. It wasn't clear but hardly a theatrical, jump two feet in the air, arms out, sprawling, cheating, dive. In fact, I thought he would have to jump two feet in the air to avoid contact from Hart.
