I wonder if we could poach Jeff Hendrick from Derby County, but it looks like he has committed to them long-term? That was some crack off the bar - too bad it didn't go in. Talking to Nutso before kick off and agreed that a draw would be a decent result........ Had a very quick journey home from work at half 5, roads were deserted........ The only thing now is that Ireland really have to beat either Belgium or Italy, neither will be easy, but strange things can happen, like taking 4 points of Germany in the qualifiers for example.......
Agree with you. If your good enough, you will do it. Heading back to Melun from Gate De Lyon after a couple of beers. Moving on to Lacanau Plage tomorrow which is a 7 hour drive. Met some lovely fans in Paris today from all over Europe including England fans. A lot of them still shocked about events in Marseille.
Really worried it will all kick off again in Lille on Wednesday, a lot of England fans were advised to stay there as Lens didn't have enough hotel space and Russia's next match is there, hard to see there not being another set-to either Wednesday or Thursday if they're so close...
Looked a great atmosphere fingy, I had an out of key Irishwoman singing "fields of athenry " in my face but despite that it looked a great craic
it was a fabulous attempt by the irish who really put a great shift in everyone of them really tried there hearts out they all pushed them selves to beyond there normal capabillities, GOD BLESS YOU IRISHMEN MAY YOU GO YTHE WHOLE WAY TO THE FINAL
Every time I hear that song I'm reminded of the racehorse that was named after the song many years ago. The name had it as all one word - Fieldsofathenry - and a commentator, obviously unfamiliar with the song, called it as Fields Of Fat Henry.
