    Harry Redknapp

Alan Pardew has recently been linked with a move to bring Loic Remy on loan for the season.

Once again Newcastle United have been linked with the signature of French internationals; as if they haven’t got enough already.

Today it is believed that Newcastle United have upped their bid for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis as Alan Pardew looks to bring in more attacking options to his squad this summer.

But that is not the only player they have been linked with today.

It has been suggested that Pardew is now ready to renew his interest in French international striker Loic Remy of QPR.

The reports suggest that Newcastle will offer Remy a chance to play Premier League football again. For the striker it is the perfect move. He needs to play top tier football in order to make his way into the French national team for the World Cup next summer. But a loan deal means that come next May, should QPR win promotion, he can make the move back to London no strings attached.

But have Newcastle not been listening to Harry Redknapp recently because if there is substance to these rumours they will be the next team on the end of a tongue lashing from the former Spurs boss.

Recently Redknapp has been questioned about the future of two of his players; Julio Cesar and Adel Taarabt.

There has been plenty of speculation that the pair could go out on loan this summer but Redknapp quickly ended that speculation:

"I can't see the sense in loaning him [Cesar] for a year. He's got three years left on his contract...We have to do a deal that suits the football club and not deals that suit agents and other people. What's the point in loaning him for a year then getting him back on massive wages for another two years? If he wants to leave, we sell him.’’

"There's talk about him [Taarabt] going to Hull on loan. What's the good in that? If he wants to go, let somebody come and pay the money for him.’’

And it is the same in the case of Remy. If QPR want to be rid of him in the summer they can sell him and a loan move would fall on deaf ears.

It is surprising to see Newcastle after him at all in honesty; after the way he shunned them in January.

But if Pardew is serious about giving him another chance to join the Toon Army; he is going to have to pay.

Absolutely no sense in a loan deal. He has a relegation clause - pay up and sign him to take him. That's the only way he should leave; option 2: stay, score hatful of goals and you're back in the prem with your value soaring higher than ever.
    Loan deal - you're having a laugh!
( does that mean it could happen ? )

We can't afford to lose him. If he goes we then need 2, maybe three strikers IMO.
