Before we get too excited, it seems an obvious step if Newcastle haven't come up with the right money. But there's still plenty of time for them to do so...just saying!

 

I just can't see Remy wanting to take a permanent move up there.

Didn't fancy it last time, can't see why it'll be any different this time around.

Time for Redknapp to put his arm around him, tell him he's the best around and get him firing on all cylinders.

 

We should tell him that he has to stay for now, but that he can have a move in January if the right deal comes along. Hopefully he would be fired up to prove himself again.

I hope he stays at least untill Jan, like many on here I was starting to sweat about lack of fire power in the sqaud. Austin needs a partner in crime.

 

So what do we do in January?

 

It's gives a chance to plan rather than getting more and more desperate as 1st September approaches. Plus, he might score enough goals to take us to relative safety.

 

I know that Remy is a striker we badly need but i can't help but not feel excited about it. He wanted Liverpool but that didn't happen and then Newcastle were in the frame. I mean who wants to have a guy playing that doesn't really want to play with them.

On the flip side though he scores like crazy and does well for us.... and if he does he will leave anyhow.

 

Totally agree we was planning without him & now it's all changed, what to see him say he's fully committed to us this if not then avoir remy.

 

Remy wont go Newcastle, if he joins Newcastle he’s there for 2 -3 years minimum. After that he’s 30 and he’ll never join a champions league/league winning side.

With us he plays out another year bangs in a load of goals proves his worth again and then leaves for a relatively low fee next year.

That wont happen at Newcastle. If he was going to go there he would have signed 2 years ago

 

He has stated that he did want him to stay.

Although not sure nowadays - what Harry says actually means anything.

AP says Remy's had plenty of chances to come to #NUFC & although door is never fully closed on any transfer, thinks it's unlikely to happen.

Goals will decide it for me, I don't care where his head is just as long as he can find the back of the net.

If after a year he drags us up to a respectable finish then thanks and good luck. He'll never be a true R in my mind not every player will.
