Most of the reports are saying that Lacazette has changed his stance on moving to us and is more receptive to the idea and in particular of playing in the PL.
If that is the case then I would be tempted to go for him. He is lethal in front of goal. Not just in Ligue 1 [where he has admittedly been poor this season by his standards] but in the Champions League against top sides. Hell, get him and Remy in haha
So let's get this right....... We've agreed a fee for Townsend and he wants to sign.... We're favourites to get Loic Remy (at least until the end of the season)....... Lacezette has changed his mind and is willing to move here now and we're willing to pay the required amount...... Why do I feel like we all live inside some huge computer and we've woken up today to find that some joker has hacked it? No doubt by tomorrow the system will be reset and we'll be back to reality!
Personally I would go for that but with the amount of wages tied up in Mitrovic, Riviere and co I doubt that they would do this, Lacazette and Remy would be a potent strike force with the experience of Remy helping Lacazette adjust, it's a dream though!!
Although to be fair to Mitrovic, so far this season he has managed to turn chances into whine(ing) !!
Sky Sports now claiming that the Pato to Chelsea deal has been finalised, initially on loan till the end of the season with a view to making it permanent. This should leave the door open to someone making a swift move for Remy - though that doesn't take into account how long he will hold out for a better deal.
I'd be tempted to give Remy 48 hours to make his mind up, all the while negotiating with someone else. If the latter happens quickly, let Remy hang until deadline day, offer him a pittance and show him who is boss. A bit of retribution for the way he treated us.
FFS... my ITK mate has just seen Shola peddling a bike into the training ground whilst eating an apple.... please log in to view this image
Shola's offered to play free of charge for Bolton. They can't even afford that [due to insurance apparently.] Christ.
I saw that too. Whatever anyone's views of his footballing skills, there's no doubt he's one of the good guys. Fair play to him!
Also very, very cool. There's no way I could ever look that good eating an apple whilst on a bike. Real shame he was mostly poor at actually playing football.
Reports now that Adebayore has signed for Palace, who appeared to be the main rivals for Remy. Could put us in a better position of we do want him.
If we sign Lacazette then we will buy Jesus H Christ to play up front with him.!! A partnership made in Heaven..
