Same for me. I like a day out down there but wouldn't want to live there. Could say that about a lot of places. Its all personal preference. I enjoy going to see my younger brother and have had a few top weekends down there. I just prefer the North East in terms of living somewhere.

The reality is most foreign footballers prefer London. Its an iconic city round the globe. Particularly young lads with a large amount of disposeable income!

Thats an important factor. The amount of money they're on, its not like they are kicking around Tower Hamlets. They know a different London to that of most people. Likewise in the NE, there simply isn't as much to cater for the obscene wealth they have.

 

Dunno like, you can pay 3 quid for a sarnie at Greggs these days....

 

London is an odd place. For a visit for a day or two it's only bettered by Los Angeles for me.
Everything from the museums to the architecture consistently blows me away.
I do a lot of business in London and usually fly down or train it as the drivers on the roads are utter idiots who ignore road signs and traffic lights and do what the want.
I have friends in Camden and a couple in Stratford and to a man they are trying to get out of London due to the cost of living and the soaring immigrant crime rate.
One of my best friends is in the Met and illegal immigrant crime accounts for an increasing share of his workload.
He himself is looking to get a transfer to Cleveland Police as the 'writing is on the wall' as he puts it...

 

Plus we have the clubshop.

 

England's a **** hole that's why we go on holiday abroad.
