The point being made on that thread had nothing to do with King's human rights. It was the fact that a user had accused Marlon King of having "probably molested" the daughters of referees, which is a libellous comment that could result in that user facing legal action. You immediately went to him having been convicted of groping some woman as it meaning it was defamation, but that largely depends what you saw when you read "daughters". Given the ages of a lot of referees the daughters would be U16... Nope, not you, Pompey have their own mods. The post that was deleted on the other forum was also made on here, and it was left on here unchanged and with no need for me to say anything to them (it really was context that was the issue).
Re: the multi posting. I see no reason to disbelieve what AM and co are saying. They've basically said to me exactly what I said to the supermod and Millwall mod was what I thought was happening when I looked at everything. It does have to be said though, it wasn't a bright idea to be new to the site and be making more posts trying to wind up other fans than were being posted on here, especially as they were going to the same place and effectively backing each other up. The general principle when you get a WUM is to check the IP to see if it matches any previously banned WUMs. When you're coming on from college and all have the same IP then as soon as one is checked they see the others and assume the same person is behind both accounts. Emails were also checked, and the two new accounts were the only two accounts on the site to be registered with emails from the provider concerned. AM got drawn in because he also shared that IP at some point (we can't tell when it was last connected to a person, just that it was, although we can check individual posts), and was posting on the Millwall thread in question. There were only 3 or 4 accounts to have used it (Zidane being the 4th), and unusually for someone with his post count AM has had less than 10 IPs so he doesn't appear to have a dynamic IP (Dynamics being the main reason for shared IPs, and for comparison I think I've got nearly 200 registered to my account now). So bearing all that in mind, the assumption that they're all the same person isn't that wild a one to make, 99 times out of 100 with that much supporting evidence it would be the correct assumption.
Being a chap of extreme ignorance in the art of "micky taking" (WUMMING?) I am all for it with some reservations but on here people really take it seriously, and the longer the thread the worse it gets. After all its freedom of speech unless lord Levison reads this.
