Emotional, emotive and very provoking; 11th of the 11th. Death and service are facts of life for some (serving or supporting), gestures are much the same for others. I agree that our club (and all others) deserves credit for what they do; but it is a little of a popularist act. For them who have served, football, along with family and friends, is a great thing to look forward to on their return; yes, it really can have that influence on feelings of well being and security. Absolutely, and without a doubt, we are morally right in honouring the men and women of our Armed Services - but perhaps, The Tigers could find it within themselves to honour the folk who stay at home - the true definition of 'Supporters' in our, somewhat, perplexed society. As a club, can we embrace the family, without all of the rigamarole? How you doing Mel; it's a while since WBA and a lazy pint in front of the fire! West Ham - great charactor, love your supporters, but no mercy! UTT
Hull had more Pals Battalions than any other City in Yorkshire. I'm sure there was a tv show about the Hull Pals on the Beeb ages ago. As for never wearing a Poppy ever again. I can see where you're coming from, but wearing one in rememberance of those who died isn't to be frowned upon. RIP.
Fez WBA I was talking about it at Nottingham. Hope you and yours are as well as. I am always too busy for my own good, but I will always have time for you, just don't expect too many emails returned (I had 36 unread this afternoon). We are coming up tomorrow. I will arrange a meet up soon.
