I dont like the thought of have just 1 of our own players in the back 4 (including keeper). Lumley, Sweeney and Clarke-Salter all on loan. Only Lockyer at the back which is our own player.
With out them next season we will struggle IMO if Lumley and Sweeney hadn't come in I think we would be hovering over the relegation zone.
We are very close to the top 6. I still struggle to understand why DC didnt go and get a striker who can score goals in Jan. Easter wasnt in DC's plans and been injured. Harrison and Gaffney struggle to score and Luke James can score. A striker scoring goals would have made the difference. Port Vale, Shrewsbury, Bolton, Southend, Chesterfield and Coventry all away, all points dropped for 1 reason or another. I worry that we wont be this close to the play offs next season. Our facilities are not ready for championship football but when the chance comes, we have to take it. But we dont have enough quality in the team since Jan. Too many draws and the defeats have been embarrassing.
