Blackburn (not a good enough squad and manager to get safety). Swansea Will get some good results, but not enough up front. QPR A lot like Swansea. Decent team, but not quite good enough. Who knows though? Norwich and Wigan will be close.
Surely Bolton look the most likely, they look a shadow of the team they were the last couple of years. Absolute shambles of a team this season.
To be fair, have you seen who they have played?! Arsenal, Liverpool, City, United and now Chelsea. Horror fun of fixtures so early in the season... Cannot see them going down. Rate Owen Coyle as a manager and I think he will turn it around.
It is a horror show of fixtures. But they have played absolutely dire, any other team would have at least taken a point out of those games to be honest.
I believe that the more successful manager puts on ''an act for the cameras'' when it comes to being a ''nice guy''. Bob Paisley had a reputation for being a ''nice guy'' but he said himself that when he wanted to be, he could be ''one nasty bastard''. I do believe that there should be a difference between what the public see and what the players see in private. The two shouldn't be the same, its a sign of weakness. Its a problem English managers have, both personas are the same. One example Harry Redknapp comes across as being a ''cockney wideboy'' and a ''jack the lad''. He manages like that. That is one of his short-comings and is the reason he is overall a very poor manager. Roy Hodgson had one persona. Thats why he is a poor manager overall. McClaren same thing. Look at Jose Mourinho, he plays two characters, one the media see and one the players see. He acts arrogant in front of the cameras and he drills it into his players that they are world-beaters. Kenny Dalglish plays two characters, one for the media and one for the players, he appears dismissive and dour with the media, and in front of the players is a mickey taker. He takes the mickey as much as he did as a player.
Bump. Blackburn will go down. One or two decent players but Steve Kean isn't manager material. Cannot see them getting out of it. I did predict Norwich and Q.P.R to go down and I look quite stupid now! Norwich will be fine. I underestimated them. Looking good to stay up this season... Q.P.R should be fine as well. Despite a good result at Sunderland, Wigan's knack of staying up by the skin of thier teeth will run out this season. In my opinion, they haven't got a star player to produce that bit of magic to keep them up. (N'Zogbia last season is a good example) And I haven't got a clue who will go down with Blackburn and Wigan!
**** me, Bolton might actually go down after today! We beat Stoke 5-0 and then lost to West Brom 2-1 (awful performance) and today we lost to Everton 2-0 (awful performance), next up we have Spurs and Villa. Help.
Think you might get something at Villa... You'll need an excellent performance to get anything at Spurs! I still think you'll be fine at the end of the season.
At the moment Blackburn look pinned on favourites to go down 20th, 19th I think will be Norwich followed by Swansea in 18th. QPR will finish around 15th I think.
My prediction isn't looking too bad at the moment, apart from Norwich who seem to be doing quite well. I think Bolton will pick up again soon and start to climb. I know no one is "too good to go down" but they have more quality than those around them.
Don't agree with that, I can't see Wigan getting out of the mire, take a look at their fixture list until the new year, can't see them getting more than a point or two at the most. And the swans and norwich won't be taking the final spot, that will go to wolves or bolton if they don't sort out their **** soon
to be honest, from what ive seen, all the promoted teams are good enough to stay up, unless one of them has a midseason collapse, which has been quite common recently. Blackburn and Wigan look bad though, and id go for them, along with maybe Bolton if they keep going like this
