Lads, Mick is only in his mid-teenties, he gets literally dozens of messages every day, he is in a full-time very busy occupation, and he likes to post and play on the site that he built! Until quite recently it was costing him a fair amount of money to run, then he signed up to Google and Bing to allow them to advertise on the site but to guests only, as soon as you register as a member the adverts stop! He skip reads as many messages as possible but there are too many to keep on top of! He will catch your banner request eventually!
By eventually do you mean that by the time you guys submit another banner for next season, as yours seem to go up without trouble, we may got our first one put up.?
Do you remember our former supermoderator cyprussyd? One of many reasons why he resigned and left this sight was because he had got assurances from Mick that our banner was going up, he passed this on to me, then nothing happened! It happened on a few occasions and Syd was embarrassed because he felt he'd let me down, which of course was absolute nonsense. Syd and I have remained in touch and in a fortnight's time he is putting me up for a couple of nights and has bought a ticket for the seat next to his ST seat for Sunderland v Norwich! Good things do happen on the www sometimes!
Hoppers, Mick doesn't respond to PM's so that is definitely not the way to go. I hear what you are saying Dave and I'm really not trying to upset the applecart or piss Mick off but it is also frustrating that after two years we are still playing on the grass. If he skip reads the mod board it's not difficult to pick out the titles of the threads I've posted there (and keep bumping up) FAO Mick - Banner Request and FAO Mick Where's Our Banner I would think it's quite easy to pick these up in a flash and take the time to keep the punters happy.
Nah I'm sorry Dave, I spent over a week on the first banner effort, which he lost. A long time later I submitted another version, again nothing happened. This is the third time and it's still not there. It takes ten minutes, if that, to upload a banner. It's not any way to behave and there isn't an excuse for it. We're all busy. Syd was a legend and did a brilliant job. This place doesn't deliver on what Mick trumpeted when he set it up, and that's fair enough, but it's a tiny thing we're asking. It's not on.
Sport on Yorkie The Ipswich board is one of the busier ones on the whole site when you compare ours to the Forest, Palace, Burnley, Brum and some premiership boards! If this guy can't be arsed to perform a simple request like this then I say **** him! I might just stick to TWTD in future.
Back on to relegation drivel.. Two biggies in the relegation scrap tonight. Brum Vs Blackpool who both sit a single point above us and the Posh taking on Charlton who could very easily be dragged in particularly as Posh seem to be hitting some semblance of form. As for the Town... a point will be a great result for us, a win invaluable and ultimately put us in touching distance but a loss wouldn't be the end of the world if those around us also struggle against some of the league form teams..
I am keeping an eye on Barnsley. If they win their two games in hand they would leapfrog us, leaving us only one place above the drop. If we don't start scoring soon I fear for the worse.
Not that I am aware of.I would be surprised if I was as I havn't said anything controversial on there...unless telling the truth counts!
The latest odds are now; Posh - 1/2 (from 2/5) Bristol City - 4/7 (from 1/2) Barnsley - 8/11 (from 11/8) Wolves - Evs (from 6/4) Huddersfield - 3/1 (from 5/2) Ipswich - 4/1 (from 5/1) Sheff Wed - 5/1 from 4/1 Even though they have games in hand, i can easily see Millwall being dragged deeper in the relegation battle. They are by far on the worst run out of all the bottom clubs, and they do have some tough games coming up, including a few 6-pointers against others down the bottom. Wouldn't it just be fantastic if they went down!!! Birmingham - 9/1 (from 6/1) Millwall - 12/1 (from 20/1)
Two big games in the relegation scrap tonight. Both Barnsley and Posh are playing. Barnsley V Brighton Leeds V Posh If both manage to pull off surprising wins then we are really dragged back into the mire and only 2 points off 3rd bottom. This may be the first time I've wanted to see a Leeds victory Also Saturday's fixture at Ashton Gate could be telling in the battle at the bottom as Brizzle take on Wolves..
A bad but not disastrous night last night, Posh picking up a point and Barnsley continue to surprise the odds and got another 3 points which drags everyone that little bit closer together with all the bottom 3 on 39 points. With Brizzle facing Wolves at the weekend it could be a big Saturday for us and with 2 consecutive Home fixtures I think the time has come for us to really put some points on the board. 2 draws wouldn't be the end of the world but I would say that 4 points or more from the next two matches are crucial for us to keep the bottom 3 at arms length.
I recommend you take 60 seconds have a look at this page as it shows the diagram of everyone's form this season http://www.leagueslider.com/ *you have to select the Championship to see the clubs slide
Nice one KPR..like a horse race..and shows Town to have at least 5 behind us on the ropes! Clever these people.
New and updated odds on who will be facing the drop Bristol City 1/25 Peterborough 5/6 Huddersfield 6/4 Barnsley 15/8 Wolves 11/4 Sheffield Wednesday 3/1 Blackburn 4/1 Ipswich 9/1 Blackpool 10/1 Charlton 18/1 Burnley 33/1 It seems that Bookies are starting to write off Brizzle but other than that it's as tight as a duck's arse still. Also Ebanks-Bloke suffering a broken leg is another major blow for Wolves who have miraculously found a bit of form and yesterdays results only draw everyone closer together. I think it could be a case that everyone in the league manages to muster up 50 points this season. which will be a first ever...
