Well, as far as the OP's question is concerned, we could be finding out soon if it works or not.

Disagree - If we are relegated and do not bounce back, each season will cost Ashley more and more money. He could have to wait 3-4-5 years for a buyer, each year losing 30-40 million, if the club is worth 300m now in five years it might be worth 300m but he could have lost 150m+ waiting - he will know this. There is an easy answer to all of this but it needs Ashley 'doing a complete U-turn'. Find the best coach available, spend the money that we generate, do not sell players during the season, sell only for huge fees and only when we have an adequate replacement on board, pay for the advertising, have a progressive plan which is shared and explained to the fans and stay way, way in the background. In return, charge interest on the loan (at bank rate), take loan repayments and make a small profit. Everyone wins.

Does anyone think Ashley cares enough to do anything now? Will he act in one last attempt to save this sinking ship?

I personally think he doesn't care enough to do anything about it. Hence leaving us in this mess in the first place.

It would be amazing in many ways if he actually jumped in and just cleared out Carver and the other two stooges and tried to win as many of the remaining games possible. I know it's not just the coaching staff, but it would give the whole club the impetus to stay up. Do we think that will happen? **** knows...

I still think it's a big IF as you still have favourable games coming up, however, Ashley knows the club is worth a hell of a lot more in the Premier league so I wouldn't expect him to sell IF you go down...

    Mike Ashley thinks it's Monopoly

John Carver thinks its Haven't Got A Cluedo

    Riviere thinks its 'tig'

    Pouchy thinks it's Golf

Obi thinks it's Eat The Parcel

and meanwhile JPF is in custody realising that 'that' wasn't a game but actually a serious sexual assault that Trev neither expected or wanted.

Rain has put a damper on the golf today. Manny got schooled, England had 90's calypso in the cricket. Lets just hope Boomerrang Bob and Arab Dream win at Newmarket, and Viva Verglas at Hamilton or it will have been a truly ****e 24-48 hours.
