That was embarrassing, totally devoid of any imagination or creativity. I was hoping for at least a good performance against the ‘big’ club but alas I don’t think that their fans could think too much of our team after that abject display.

I wasn’t at Fratton Park on Tuesday evening but from a friends report Jakubiak was the best player on the pitch but today he sits on the bench only to come on once we have fallen two behind ? What was Serbs doing as well out wide in the first half ? he should be firmly camped in the middle where he can create and again what on earth was that wall all about ? an open goal was just gaping and the Sunderland lad duly obliged, he must have thought it was Christmas all over again.

I didn’t have us down for any points today but I would of hoped for a little more guile from the team , if we were still playing now we would still have zero against our name, it was very disappointing, the keeper hasn’t looked good since Christmas either which also has to be a concern.

Oh well onwards to the Tangerines and hopefully a home win for us long suffering home supporters.

Thought it was a poor game with two poor teams, their GK could have brought a book to read he had so little to do

Have to say I think this is a poor league this season all round. I have not seen one side I would argue is head and shoulders above. Some are average but most quite poor. There are several sides I have still to see but nobody is ripping up trees with the exception possibly of Luton. One I haven't see.

Midweek fixture:

Shrewsbury (19th on 36 points) vs Doncaster

I think Shrewsbury will lose this game. This is Shrewsbury's game in hand that they have on all the other relegation rivals, apart from us. After this game, we will be the only team with a game in hand on the rest within the bottom 9 teams. That game in hand is also against Doncaster which will be played on 26th March.

Weekend fixtures:

Southend (13th on 41 points) vs Barnsley
Accrington (15th on 41 points) vs Coventry
Rovers (21st on 34 points) vs Blackpool
Burton vs Walsall (18th on 38 points)
Fleetwood vs Gillingham (17th on 39 points)
Luton vs Rochdale (22nd on 34 points)
Oxford (20th on 36 points) vs Scunthorpe (16th on 41 points)
Portsmouth vs Bradford (23rd on 33 points)
Shrewsbury (19th on 36 points) vs Wimbledon (24th on 29 points)
Sunderland vs Plymouth (14th on 41 points)

I am predicting defeats for Southend, Walsall, Gillingham, Rochdale, Oxford, Bradford, Wimbledon and Plymouth.

I am predicting wins for Accrington, Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury.

I am predicting a draw for us!

If I am right, which I probably wont be as everyone are fighting for survival right now, the bottom will look like this...

15... Southend........ 35..... 41
16... Plymouth........ 35..... 41
17... Shrewsbury..... 35..... 39
18... Gillingham...... 35..... 39
19... Walsall............ 35..... 38
20.. Oxford............. 35..... 36

Bradford manager has departed today. Either this will wake them up and they will get out of this mess or this will ruin them further like it did to us when we sacked Trollope and then not long after got rid of Penney! I guess, we will soon find out!

Great work Captain, I wouldn’t fancy being a leather apron looking at that list ! There will be heaps of twists and turns yet, still got over two months of the season to run but it’s going to be exciting that’s for sure, buckle up.

The issue is, we may be doing ok in the form table but teams around us are regularly facing each other so they are all picking up points as well. All of a sudden, this weekends game vs Blackpool is now a must win game just so we dont get left behind.

Whats the bets that Oxford will beat Scunthorpe, Walsall will beat Burton and Shrewsbury will beat Wimbledon on Saturday.

If we dont beat Blackpool ad the above happens then we will be 5 points away from safety.

So many teams can get drawn into this. My guess is that Wimbledon, Bradford, Walsall and any one of quite a few - possibly Rochdale or Accrington will go down, but it going to be very close. Glad we've got a decent goal difference anyway.

I didn't realise Accrington played on Tuesday night as well. They lost 2-1 to Blackpool so Accrington still in the mix of things. They still have 1 game in hand like us.

Saturday fixtures....

Wimbledon vs Doncaster
Barnsley vs Accrington
Blackpool vs Southend
Bradford
vs Peterborough
Gillingham vs Oxford
Plymouth
vs Luton
Rochdale vs Shrewsbury
Scunthorpe
vs Rovers
Walsall
vs Fleetwood

On paper, Wimbledon, Accrington, Southend, Bradford, Plymouth and Walsall should find things very difficult Saturday, which is good for us.

Three 6 pointers where some teams could pull away. Hopefully Gills/Oxford and Dale/Shrews draw and we beat Scunny.

Still no goals in any of these games yet

Wimbledon vs Doncaster
Barnsley vs Accrington
Blackpool vs Southend
Bradford
vs Peterborough
Gillingham vs Oxford
Plymouth
vs Luton
Rochdale vs Shrewsbury
Scunthorpe
vs Rovers
Walsall
vs Fleetwood
