I know but even the rich and famous can't turn down a good deal. All players who know the league, DCL and Phillips look like England Internationals for the next few years. Richarlison would be another current Brazilian international to add to the contingent, the rest I agree might not be at the level we are looking to hit but are major upgrades on what we have. Ritchie and Murphy or Richarlison and Raphina? Hayden/Longstaff/Shelvey or Phillips? Gayle and Wood or DCL and Bamford? DCL over Wilson for me personally...
Just looked at the score on the doors and interestingly, given their position, no one has voted for Burnley.
Crazy that ain't it but as I said originally I think they are weirdly the most equipped to get out of it. Games in hand, players and manager are experienced in the fight, their fans know their level - teams like Everton and possibly Leeds fans will be at the players throats in a few games if they are looking in trouble.
You look at the Burnley players and they all look ultra-fit. Their game is based around physicality. Its not surprising they keep coming good in the 2nd half of the season as other teams tire and pick up injuries.
I thought a month or so ago it might be Burnley's time, but there's a resilience about them and they've picked up some unlikely results.
I think they will deffo get out of it. Even where they are they have given everyone a good game all season really.
Everton! Not many picked them but they could be in some serious trouble, not many winnable games in their run in... Spurs, Wolves, NUFC, Watford, West Ham, Man u, Palace, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester, Brentford, Arsenal with Leicester and Burnley still to be scheduled... Maybe wins vs Watford, Burnley, Brentford, Palace but think they'll be hard pressed to win all of them, past that Wolves, West Ham and NUFC are their next best chance to pick up points but you'd think those are the 7 games out of the 14 remaining they have to save their season.
i may be guessing wildly but I reckon Lascelles being injured played it’s part. Hopefully Eddie sees this.
Norwich, Watford and Leeds. I'd rather it be Everton tbh, but I just think they have enough quality to win a few more games and save themselves. Leeds just don't have a very good team, they're very fit and can give a game when they focus, but I honestly think without Bamford they've got very little. Their new manager is also a bit **** tbh, I don't understand how they thought he was just going to burst in and be obviously better than Bielsa.
Newcastle, Brentford, Leeds, Everton, Burnley, Watford and Norwich, not done yet, break 30 points this month and we'll be grand.
I think after tonight Everton are very much in the frame and Leeds, Burnley to me have the fight to stay which seems to be lacking at Leeds and Everton at the moment.
I actually think Leeds might do it. they looked okay against Leicester and looks like Bamford will be back this weekend. I am still going for Norwich, Watford and Brentford.
