They tried to be clever and greedy by shortchanging the funding of the squad, for obvious profit margins, then panicked when they got some really bad transfers, and could not get it right the following two seasons, which ended up with this relegation, selling our best players and buying dross to replace has now cost them their investment, and a big drop in the club value, and frankly, I don't think they have the ability to put this mess right...............<ok>
 
Sorry to see you go, Swans. That's especially true as you're being replaced by... that lot.

Hopefully you'll turn it around, get back to playing decent football and make a quick return.
It's always good to have sides that want to entertain and your best times were doing exactly that.
You've all been here before, so it won't be a massive shock to your systems, but good luck on getting over it and coming back up. <ok>

Chairman Huw Jenkins is facing fresh calls to quit after Swansea City's relegation from the Premier League.

Jenkins was absent from Sunday's 2-1 home defeat by Stoke City which ended Swans' seven years in the top flight. Ex-Swansea striker Ian Walsh says Jenkins' role in attracting American investment in 2016 means his position is untenable. "This decision (to sell to the Americans) has cost Swansea their place in the Premier League," said Walsh. "Sadly, this club needs to look for new owners and Huw Jenkins needs to step down.

"Huw, for his own sanity, because it will just get worse and worse for him. "They have been relegated from the best league in world football. "It is humiliating and the fans don't deserve it." Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien are the club's majority shareholders in a consortium that includes actress Mindy Kaling. Walsh added: "Bringing the Americans in just to stabilise the club was never going to be enough. "With a business you need to bring money in to invest in the club to make it go forward.

"They haven't spent and the job done with recruitment in the summer [of 2017] was shocking." Former Wales striker Iwan Roberts also believes it is time for Jenkins to leave. He told Radio Wales' Good Morning Wales: "I think it's a good shout for Huw to step down now. He has done great work at the football club. "But the last two years - since the directors and the old owner sold their shares for millions of pounds - you cannot help but think his eye has been taken off the ball. "I think he has taken far too much responsibility on his own shoulders on recruitment and bringing in managers and he needs help. "It has become very bitter now at the Liberty Stadium. You can understand why - the fans are hurting. "But whether the new owners will sell up now... They are not going to get what they paid for it as a club now in the Championship."
 
There is no need to get Jenkins out. In fact we need him more now than ever because if we get another American as chairman then who will know the Swansea way and that is what the club needs to get back too....
 
Lukasz Fabianski reportedly wants to leave Swansea City this summer, with Newcastle United among the clubs keen to land him.

The Polish international is looking to leave the Liberty Stadium following the club’s relegation down to the Championship and according to the Guardian, the Magpies are keen.

Fabianski has been a consistent performer for Swansea over the course of several seasons and it seems he is determined to remain in the top-flight of English football.
 
If we sell Fab for a measly £5m then we deserve all we get........I dont care two hoots if anyone wants to leave and they are under contract i would make them stay if we need them......Pickford was signed for £20m and Fab is a better keeper imo....£5m is an insult......keep him....
