QPR announce player departures and those in preliminary talks regarding possible new deals ...

QPR TRIO Aaron Hughes, Stephane Mbia and Andrew Johnson have been released following the expiration of their contracts.

Hughes joined the club on a short-term deal in January, making 11 appearances in the R's promotion-winning season.

Mbia, who spent last season on loan at Seville, has also departed. He made 32 appearances for the R’s.

Johnson departs following a two year stay in West London, during which time he made 13 starts and 11 substitute appearances, scoring two goals.

In addition, Luke Young (27 starts, 2 goals), Hogan Ephraim (76 starts, 41 substitute appearances, 8 goals), Angelo Balanta (10 starts, 19 substitute appearances, 3 goals) and Tom Hitchcock (1 substitute appearance, 1 goal) also depart having reached the end of their current agreements.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Ravel Morrison, Tom Carroll, Niko Kranjcar, Will Keane, Kevin Doyle and Modibo Maiga have all returned to their parent clubs following the conclusion of their loan spells in W12.

Everyone at Loftus Road would like to take this opportunity to thank all of these players for their contribution to the club, and to wish them well for the future.

Good to OBZ may still stay with us. After his performances at the end of last season I will be very happy for him to be in the Squad, come in off the bench after 60 and 70, and do the business!

Ephraim, how can a player that bad be at the club so long that he'd have been due a testimonial soon!

We will go back to hating Zamora if he signs, he only perks up when a contract is up. He will be right back to mid season form.

Very Concerned surely we are NOT keeping SWP ? Pleased about the others not good enough for the PL , slight disappointment about AJ as without the injuries he could have done a good job for the R's

Morrison and Kranjcar going is not so good. I am surprised by that. I hope it means there is better to come.

I thought Ephraim and Balanta had gone ages ago.

The positive thing is lots of movement on day 1. I sense TF and Harry have a plan!

COYRssss.

Oh for FFS why don't they just pay him off , who in the right mind gave him. 4 year contract. Total waste of a place in the squad. Sell him or free transfer him at least

As they was only loans I wouldn't be surprised if we went back in for one of them or both.

SWP has got another year. AJ will never be injury free. No one in their right mind would offer him a contract.

We should work out a Cesar type deal and have him join BWP with New York Cosmos in MLS - double trouble, the laughing gnomes of NY - BWP is actually NYC's leading scorer (13 goals in 22 appearances)

I see "Man Thursday" is still popping them in for Toronto FC

Toronto levelled in the 55th minute thanks to Jermain Defoe's clever finish from six yards, the former Tottenham forward’s fifth goal in his last five games.

I was thinking the same about the loaned players returning to their Clubs. That they have gone back, don't mean we are not going to bring them back again. Ravel and Krancjar are possibles, but there has to be a big question about Krancjar's legs.

We should definitely make a move for Morrison, who last season really picked up the goal scoring slack when Charlie was out injured - very astute signing by Harry. Not only the goals, he is a flair player (like Taarabt) who can create opportunities out of nothing.
