7 points the difference between us and CL spot. It's not bad considering, but we've not shown we can sustain form as of yet but Sturrige is making the difference between blank and bulging the onion sack more regularly His presence give's Gerrard as much as Suarez. Optomisticmuch It probably won't happen but am hoping we can at least get in around Spurs come season end, 5th wouldn't be a disaster and would give some positivity going into the summer as for the most part so far even 5th seemed unlikely

I wouldn't pin all hopes on Butland if Reina were to leave. He plays for a struggling Championship team and had a good Olympics. Personally I would take Begovic, top quality and proven in the PL.
I agree not a huge fan of him. Vorm has looked good since joining Swansea. Swap for Valdes might be an idea if we are looking to replace with experience.
Hate to lose pepe... we may in the summer. Seen paper links to that Mexican dude... Ochoa? Can't spell. May be a silver lining if he did go. He loves Liverpool probably more than any other foreign player we have... if he goes... hope he tells all the young Barcelona players how great it is to play for LFC.
Ochoa was at one time regarded in North, Central, and SOuth America as one of the best GK talents to come out in a while. Think he diddled in the Mexican league a little too long and I think he has some weight issues he has been fighting. If he is getting back into form and getting back to his best, he has incredible potential and skill.
I did think after I wrote that that Reina is a perfect example of how the owners rules can work brilliantly.
The funniest part of the Reina to Barca story, is that it would be to replace the supposedly United bound Valdes! haha, the man with the best job in football who could be the dictionary definition of 'the weak link', off to United? Ferguson really has bought some ****ing awful keepers over the years.
Did he ever come back as there were reports in November time that he was on his way back but havent seen him at all.
In nearly 30 years & how many attempts? It's a position that he's made more mistakes over, than any other & Valdes would be another to add to the list.
Not arguing pal, I agree with what you've said, just felt it needed pointing out that he's also had two of the greats. The pair of them covered fourteen of Fergie's twenty-six year reign yet he has a BIG list of flops too Barthez was there for four years too but not sure what bracket you would put him in. Howard for four years too
