Sorry to hear this news this morning. Seems like Reid did a hell of a lot for your team and Risdale has done the wrong thing. I assume there'll be a hidden agender within this mess, and of course will there be a lawsuit filed by Reid for his missing wages?

it wont make any difference but i've done it anyway. the mans an egotistical, smarmy liar who loves the sound of his own voice and his own reflection. if he had invested money himself it would be his choice, but who the **** gives him the right to do it now? stapleton and co should be hanging their heads in shame. our club is the laughing stock of football and every day brings a new defeat or kick in the teeth. somebody put us out of our misery please. i want nothing more to do with Argyle while that piece of **** is associated with us.

I doubt there is more than a handful of Argyle supporters who will be happy with this. I also doubt there is more than a handful who blame Reid for our current position in the league either. I cannot see the merits in this at all unless somebody could explain a valid reason for it. A man who is working for nothing and has been for a long time with a squad of players who also are being paid little and staff behind the scenes who are the same. A man who has been nothing but up front with us all which in itself coming out of Home Park is novel. A man who has put his hand in his own pocket at times and coughed up,never complained publicly and could easily have walked and left us managerless. Now we are managerless at a time when we are still in Admin with a squad still not being paid. Who in their right mind would even apply for the job now? Anyone who does should be suspect straight away and their mental health records checked closely. It is a dilema for me regarding Argyle. I take comfort from the fact that none of the parties concerned in this are actually Argyle and will only be passing through leaving Argyle to be the club I support. I feel I want to show the Board my disgust but we don't have one. Apart from staying away there is little else I could do and I don't want to do that. My head says yes but the heart says no. At a time when revenue is the only thing that is remotely keeping a pulse ticking over this is the worst type of PR the club could come up with.

It says on the Argyle site 'that they will announce in the next 24 hours interim arrangements for the management of the 1st team'.
The bastard has been lining someone up for a while.

And I've just read on PASOTI that this could be jointly Le Keeper and Fletcher. If that is the extent of the temporary cover then god help us I think. Didn't say a permanent signing in 24 hours did they. I still maintain that anyone at all who applies must be seriously ill.

Maybe people should be making their feelings about Risdale known to Brent as well, seeing as he is supposed to be in pole position to buy the club. We should tell him we don't want the Risdale at the club.

I don't think Brent would sell the club to Ridsdale for a pound.

Rumours on PASOTI that Fletcher and Larrieu would be temporary in charge doesn't fill me with to much hope.

We've got to get through somehow until we have a new owner who can pick his own manager.........but that will be with Ridsdale help of course !!!

    Liverpool fan here.

Depsite his Everton connections, I repsect Peter Reid. The way he has been treated is disgraceful. He's stuck by your football club when it was going through it's darkest hour. Despite the league position, he shouldn't have been sacked. He's been treated like ****e by Ridsdale and i'm sure you'll agree that Mr Ridsdale should have been kicked out of football a long time ago.

Hope you can sort this out and start pushing up the league.

Saints fan in peace. Can't believe what has happened to Peter Reid. Loyalty obviously counts for nothing in football. Ridsdale is the only chairman who I hold in lower regard than Rupert Lowe! How many clubs has he been involved with that have ended up in a worse situation because of him. No wonder players and managers jump ship when a better offer comes along! Agree with all sentiments in support of Reid.

"Loyalty counts for nothing in football" Well there is a sentence that would burst the seams of any discussion board. Lets see now regarding loyalty. Things start to go wrong at a club results wise then fans turn on Managers. Players who have off periods get slated despite being heros at other times. Players who help get a team promoted considered after the event to be not good enough in the higher league and are dispensed with. I'll quote Wooton as an example of somebody who bled green and was club Captain and almost ever present during two promotions in 3 years previously at Argyle. Unceremonially shown the door after some 10 years or so. It is my contention that there is no loyalty by either Boards, Managers, players or for that matter the supporters themselves if it suits. I am as disgusted as most supporters of this club at the way Reid has been treated but lets not pretend this is something new and we ourselves haven't turned on somebody within football.

you argyle fans must now have had a belly full of it all,to you my sympathy it isnt your faullt, but to those involved in this farcial, destruction of what was plymouth argyle shame on you.I think most empathy for your club will now die a death, due to this latest twist, frankly the club has had more than enough chances to sort things out,but appear to stumble from one crisis to another.Having said that i truly want you to survive in league two,you the fans deserve that, but many i feel now will wish relegation on you at the very least, mainly due to the shameful recent events, but from me good luck

That is like punishing the family for the sins of one of it's members loyalgull. It is neither fair or just. If we get relegated then it should be for getting too few points not because a person like Ridsdale weilds an axe which no jury of Argyle supporters agreed with. I hope people don't think ill of the club because of this one man's actions.

Gat read my post about loyalty again please. You are not supporting Ridsdale or the incumbent board whoever they are at the time you are supporting Plymouth Argyle itself. I don't support individual people it is the idea of the club itself as with all supporters everywhere. They might offer support to individuals at times but ultimately when these have gone they get up on their high horse, sound off and then get on with supporting the club as they did before. People come and go but with a bit of luck the Football Club just is. Let me ask you one question. Sturrock was a living legend in this City following our promotions at his hands. When he came back and it failed how much loyalty for him was shown by the supporters? Very quickly it was very little despite his status in legend land is my answer. Please don't give up on the club because of individuals who do not speak for us even if they have the power and we have little or none.

Sensible it seems that all my club stood for and been eroded away bit by bit and today just seems to be the final nail in the coffin, I used to be laughed at when I lived in B'ham and was supporting a Division 3 club but I was proud of the club I supported and stood tall (well as tall as a 5'4" person can lol), today we have sunk to a new low, I'd rather Argyle was allowed to die with a bit of dignity than to watch it sink even lower !
