What do you think of this statement from the WST (Yes accept some aren't keen on them).. Sorry posted this in 2 different threads..just incase some don't see it in one as its about JW: Julian Winter may have deiced to move on at his own free will due to a disagreement if this statement from the WST is anything to go by. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9076445.Supporters_Trust_letter_regarding_Winter_s_departure/ Will they get a meeting this time as I read somewhere Bassini promised one then it didn't happen for some reason.
My life is full of regrets, things i did and things i have not done. Some of the biggest regrets i have come from actually doing something based on a mistaken belief which i now know not to be true. But life is a journey, walking is easy when the road is flat, those damned hill will get you every time and god gave us mountains so we could learn how to climb.
Didn't I read somewhere that Winter was on a Year's notice? If so he certainly has not served that quietly or otherwise
Leo, fair enough I appreciate the "hands up" moment! I can confess when I read the article at first I disagreed because I've been waiting for the 1st positive news. IMO the fees for the 2 players were ok, the fact that its all cash now is a big help our our finances now - next Summer is one hell of a long way away at the moment. The Julian Winter news is a big disaster - when a key member of the "top team" walks out it indicates something has gone wrong big time. I don't trust Baz the Baknkrupt (BtB) one bit, but I had consoled myself that he was a harmless nodding dog - my friend who has had dealings with him knows he's a complete prat (that's quite polite), but I know find he has fallen out with JW so much JW has jumped ship. For those waiting for GT to save the day by actions or deeds, don't pressure him as his role has been consultative only. He has the power of trust - only Malky and GT have any track record at the club. GT can turn round and say "if I leave then there will be a revolt". As for Malky I can't see him lasting long, maybe the alleged offer of £300k compensation for his departure will ring true? I firmly believe this period is key - don't accept every cash offer. Cash for Malky might sound attractive, but our fortunes next season rest on his shoulders. I keep saying our ranking in this division is 23rd, Malky has done a fine job to defy this with our league form. We have to stay in this division, 52 points is everything and don't forget it. The next set of news has to be good - or else!
Cheers Elixir - I suspect yesterday's comment from Baz about how transfers never take place this early was to soften us up for no incoming players till just before the season starts - too late to put them through a "Watford" programme If GT leaves it would be nice to think he would spell out the truth for us - but I suspect he would not as it would then appear that he was rocking the boat and subsequent troubles would be laid at his door - but once he has gone the club is a big black hole for news or information- or truth
