Australia does not tell immigrants to **** off. They welcome immigrants with open arms. You can become a citizen in 5 years. The tell asylum seekers to **** off maybe, not immigrants

Same here. We are thousands of miles from any country where a refugee might come from and I'm presuming that anyone fleeing for their life can't just hop on a plane to Heathrow so let's give asylum to all of the zero genuine asylum seekers who come here.

 

I wouldn't be using us a platform to argue a point from. We only take a hand full. We imprison them, including children. They are not criminals, just refugees. Most Aussies are ashamed of the way in which our Government treats these people.

I don't really understand this hatred of asylum seekers and refugees. If my country was in civil war I'd want to get the **** out of there too, and we're often selling the guns to the people shooting them, what's the problem?

 

Believe it or not Trev, it's pretty hard to get in to Oz. You'll need a sponsor and you'll need to show qualifications that will in all likelihood, make it easy to find work.

 

it's easy to get a sponsor though. I know a guy who got one from a ****ing call centre company. No qualifications

 

My daughter in law had to jump through hoops. It took her 2 years.
