Reflecting on ex-canaries.

Do careers go backwards after leaving Carrow Road? or have we simply progressed at a fast level?

A few to ponder on:

Zak Whitbread
Richie DeLaet
Dani Pachaeo
Henri Lansbury
Joe Lewis
James Vaughan
Andrew Crofts
Codey Mac
Fraser Forster

I'm watching Leicester v Forest at the moment and there are several involved or even on the bench. It's an error strewn game and both teams would get murdered in the Prem.
Whitbread
Ward
De Laet
Camp
Lansbury
Ward has scored an OG and Whitbread conceded a penalty. Lansbury now coming on with 10 mins left. Ayala is injured of course so I assume back in Norwich.

Harsh to call Vaughan an ex-Canary!

I think generally you can group these guys into two categories now:
- young and with potential, still learning
- found their level because we left them behind

I think really only Whitbread, Cody and Crofts fall in the second category. Joe Lewis is pushing it.

The others all still have a chance to make it, even Vaughan. The one who I'd say is furthest is Forster- apparently he was incredible against Barcelona! And we never really left him behind- we just couldn't seal the deal with Newcastle

Crofts was brilliant for us in the Championship but did'nt quite it in the Premier League so I think you're definitely right about him, Rob! <ok>
