Didn't we get both our soft penalties this season at the end of the ground with away fans behind the goal?

Spurs haven't had a home penalty for about 2 seasons...

    Eh ?

Where have you been since Sunday afternoon ?

It's not a scientifically researched fact but I still maintain having home fans behind both goals will increase the chance of a penalty award.

As a point of order, the word "deliberate" no longer applies in the rules.

It's now a matter of where your hands might naturally be.

In Elmo's case, it's still not a penalty because his hands were tucked tight into his chest in a defensive position given the ball had just been belted at him. Also the coming together of ball and hand made no difference to the balls flight because with the position of his hands, if they had not been there the ball would have his his chest.

Your last point wont happen whilst Mike Riley is in charge. Sadly as we saw last night AGAIN and this time Watford suffered at the hands of useless officials they simply are not good enough on the big decisions anymore.

Ok the PL now has the tools re. the ball crossing the line. IMO it is now time for all penalty decisons to be reviewed upstairs either way. Far too many mistakes are now being made and most of them are basic mistakes. Only Michael Oliver thought it was handball sadly for Hull City. Justice what justice.

I am still mad that West Ham, Aston Villa and Everton finished the games with 11 men. Each should have had a man sent off. Our 2 pens were pens by the letter of the law but yes they were soft pens.

That is too little far too late sadly.

For the record, Michael Oliver is only a 4th official (holds up the board) this weekend for the West Brom v. Crystal Palace game. Not hard to mess that up.

Yes he did. Very few Spurs players actually appealed. The one time in the game you could hear the Spurs fans.

True. But it still does not help the teams that are cheated out of justice and fairness. If AVB was that convinced it was harsh then he should have told Soldado to miss it. As other posters have said, It was cheating full stop. Is not Oliver a Mackem supporter btw ?
