Will be happy with the same result!

Prediction league is getting a little tight so could do with the points.

Don’t know whether this is good news or not but the ref on Sunday is James Linnington whom has reffed not only our only home win this season but previously 5 successive City wins.

Jacks not so keen on him - bit of a mixed bag of results. All will be forgiven though if he awards them their usual extra time penalty..................

Probably the most positive referee for us in recent years. That's us guaranteed to lose then. He last did our 3.1 win over Millwall.

If my calculations are correct for the esteemed Mr. L, 15 games, 12 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats.

80% wins. Doubt we have a regular ref with a better hit rate than that.

Can we have him every game?

First time with us this season.

Last season, lost 1.0 at Cov, beat Preston home 4.0 and 2.2 home draw with Blackburn.

Some other notable results, 3.1 away win at Boro, 5.0 home win v Rotherham and 3.0 away win at Huddersfield.

Last 5 seasons, 9 games, 4 good wins, 2 close defeats and 3 draws. Not up to Mr Linnington's standard but much better than others.

Do we want him to be kind to help us get a needed result or be against us and seal MM's prompt⁰ departure?

He wasn't that good. Dreadful from the second he booked Pack for a fair tackle when their guy went down screaming like a baby with a dirty nappy, then promptly got up and trotted away before netting the pen.

Their centre forward who is a handful went down every time he got touched and got free kick after kick but neither the ref nor linos saw all his shoves and pushes on our guys.

Jeremy Simpson? Homer or Bart would have been better.

I've not seen a replay of the pen yet but by all accounts McGuinness arms were in front of his body amd not in an unnatural position.

Every key decision went against us. He should give his match fee to charity as he did nothing to deserve it.

    Andy Woolmer tomorrow.

Did our 2.0 at Blackpool, the 3.2 loss at QPR and 2.2 draw at Barnsley last season.

Don't think he's too bad actually.

One of the more experienced refs I believe?

Well the last 2 refs at home games have been terrible.
Expect nothing better tomorrow - David Webb.
Home losses to Bristol twice, Reading, an away defeat at Wigan and that 5-0 debacle at Sheff Wed<yikes>

I liked it when we could at least blame the ref for us getting beaten.
