James Bell at Boro next week. Previous seasons has been in the lower EFL but did our cup loss to Brighton last season.
Thought Mr Bell was satisfactory last night. Dean Whitestone up on Saturday. Last seen doing our routine win at Forest last season and before that season a few comfortable home wins but a loss to the Bees.
Yes, Ding Dong was okay last night although the home fans thought we got away with too much time wasting - probably right. They should have been used to that having had Colin as a manager. I liked the way he booked both managers to calm things down although Wilder appeared the instigator by going into our tech area and shoving SM. For us critical lot I suppose satisfactory is a good result. Mr Whitestone has been fairly even handed with us, a few wins but also the Boxing Day home loss to Brentford and a 2.0 away defeat at Stoke. Let's see what Saturday brings.
Saturday's ref is Thomas Brammal, a relative newcomer to the Championship. He looks like a schoolboy. Not a great record with us. Wurzel defeat this season. Last season home defeats to Reading and Hull. Away draws at Peterborough and Albion. The tea leaves dont look good although it's time we had a win with him. They let him loose on a Prem game at Fulhzm a few weeks ago.
He’s been appalling when reffing us. Giving Pack that yellow at Peterborough still baffles me as does not awarding a penalty for a blatant push on Romeo at Bristol.
Cheers Ninian. A marginally better record than Brammall in the last 4 seasons. Away win at Bournemouth, home win v Stoke. But 3 losses, away at Fulham, home loss to Tricky Trees and 1 other I can't remember. The jury is out on today.
Ward was ok first half but had a poor second half. John Brookes next up. First EFL fixture of the season after doing some PL games. Sent Ralls off v swansea a few seasons back. Going back to 2017 season can’t find a win, mostly draws with a few defeats.
The portents are not good then. Another whippersnapper, only 32, getting promoted to games above his ability.
Robert Madley tomorrow It’s been a while since he’s reffed us after his removal from the list for his non pc ‘joke’. Last I could find was a 0-1 home defeat to Wolves in 2015 when he sent off Whitt’s.
0.0 home draw v Reading in 17/18 and a 1.0 home win over Wigan in 14/15. Couldn't be bothered to go back any further. Very experienced, done loads of Prem and European stuff. But does that make him any good?
Wednesday night's man in charge is our ex-friend James Linington. He was very kind to us for a while but it has all gone to pot in the last year. Can he get himself back on track and, more to the point, can we?
Sunday's ref is Bond, Darren Bond. He has been good for us in recent years with only 1 defeat in 5 seasons, ominously a 0.1 home loss to QPR. 2 wins this season, home to Birmingham and away at Boro. Would be nice if the trend continues.
He has been in recent games. Next time we get him, boo him when he's warming up. It will save time later.
