the referee for Saturday is A Taylor from Wythenshawe in greater Manchester this is no joke he lives under 10 miles from old trafford. hope he is not biased on saturday but if he is we know why. referees should not come from the area where one off the teams come from. any thoughts.

It doesn't make any difference where a referee comes from and of course the FA will have vetted each official so to be aware of any potential bias before appointing them for each game. Mind you saying that Andy Durso is the worst referee ever to officate the beautiful game and he should never be allowed anywhere near a football pitch. He lives just over the border in Essex and every time he has been at Portman Road he has give us **** all. He must be a budgie lover... <laugh>

His public enemy number 1 in Norwich. His a blatant Col Who fan.

D'Urso never gave us jack .....

Never forgiven him for the blatant penalty he didn't give when Ivan Sproule of Bristol City pushed Adam Drury in the back in the game we lost 2-1.

D'Urso is a clear Tesco supporter who has Mikey as a friend on Facebook <whistle>

Well most of the time your own players do **** all for you, maybe he's just following their lead? <laugh>

He wasn't the referee that famous day when Col who thrashed you was he?

No not to my knowledge, who was the referee when Peterborough have you hiding? When D'Urso referees a game we're playing in there is always something controversial awarded against us, Eddie Ilderlton is another referee we have trouble with, Mike Oliver deserves a mention to but he hasn't been that bad recently.

Andre Mariner is the biggest tool ever! I am no fan of the Saints but how he didn't give a stone bonking penalty on Saturday was beyond belief. He was directly in line with the incident and just waived it away. Then for good measure he books lallana (spelling) for diving! <doh> No wonder referees come in for so much criticism when even basic mistakes are being made and it could cost Soton in the long run.

Seems a bit odd to me. Tell me you older budgies, did this referees namesake Jack ever officiate any of your matches, believe he lived in Great Yarmouth.

Jack Taylor came from Staffordshire.

The ones you are talking about are either Norman Burtenshaw or Jack Grey, both came from Yarmouth.

I can never remember them officiating at Carrow Rd.

D'Urso was the referee for our game at Portsmouth on the night we got promoted, and things certainly went our way that evening! Not that he had a lot to do, the game was dire...

Speaking of Norman Burtenshaw, I used to know his grandson - I even got to once hold the old pocket watch he used for the 1950-whenever F.A Cup final.
