It is true we have only won one game however the squad is better than any we have had for a long time and if you take on board that you have several players in your first team squad who are with you because they were not good enough to be on our bench it say we have two squads of fairly equal strengths. Huddleston was a good buy for you and I wish we had got him over the line as it seemed we would for a while.
To be fair, Geordies have always been a bit detached from reality. Some of them even reinvent names for their particular brand of geordism, like mackam geordies etc.
Elmo would be in your First XI if he was still with you in this form, and Meyler won't play for us against you because he's only a bench player for us at best. Livermore, Aluko and Brady will all be back in the Starting XI.
The only player in our starting XI that's ex-Mackems is Elmo and many of us would like to see him replaced by Koren on Saturday(though he won't be).
Just had a look on the Sunderland board, they've got a right problem with us over there, some right hate banding about ha ha.
Apparently ALL our fans where going over to their board afew years back telling them how to run a Football club ha ha.
To be fair, it looks to be a couple of the less bright ones making stuff up. Reality's a foreign country to some geordies. Silly really, we had a good relationship between the Directors at one point.
You know how a player you sell or used to play for you always scores against you, perhaps Bruce is that guy for us in this game.
We don't need to tell anyone we're not push-overs; keep under the radar and our powder dry are just a few things that come to mind.
However we are the underdogs now. On the hate front I think you are getting the ex manager backlash. Bruce is doing a great job down South but his last ten months up here was awful and he did not help himself with his bitter comments after leaving the club. If you pop onto our board you will get a good debate from most but as with all clubs there will be one or two who don't know how to behave. One thing however never call us Geordies! Unless you really do want abuse LOL
I think there was a bit of dead (black) cat bounce versus Newcastle, just like there was when PDC was appointed. Then it was business as usual again a few games later. As usual up there it's emotional bipolarism instead of realism and common sense. We need to stuff these geordie twats- we owe them a few gubbings.
Not really high class wit- just my view of the game. We need to win and no idea which Sunderland will turn up (if any), 'bonny lad'.
But you ARE geordies. It's only relatively recently you've tried to reinvent yourselves. Historically 'geordie' applied to anyone from that north east bit across to beyond Durham. Some of yours used to sing it.
Wont get any off me mate. I am a proud Geordie who supports Sunderland, just like thousands of other Geordies.
