I understand that the club dont air their dirty washing in public , but we are getting close to the end of the season and social media and newspapers are full of the usual rumours about saints players leaving although this time we have....

Puel to be sacked
Van Dijk to Liverpool/Chelsea/Man City etc
Bertrand / Redmond leaving unless Puel goes
Long / Rodriguez unhappy

Would it not hurt for once for one of these two to come out and say whats going on? The fans pay a lot of money to follow the club and all we get from them is silence all the time. Quite often our transfers are reported to us by the other clubs involved.

A simple 'Puel is staying/going'

and a bit of clarification regarding the other stuff would go a long way to settling people down.

Saints have never, certainly since Katharina took up the reins, conducted their business in public, unless it's to announce something that's definitely happening. Besides, if, as I hope is not the case, Puel is leaving, what on earth would be the point in announcing it? Look what happened to Man City after they announced Pelligrini was being replaced by Pep, their form slumped like a stone!

I'm sure they'll (well, Les) will come out at the end of the season, and do the usual "review of the season"

Till then, there's no point saying anything

No reason for them to come out and say anything at present.

Even if they did, they'd probably say something that would be taken the wrong way and used as a stick to beat them with.

This could change in a few weeks of course though...

Every year a fan asks the same question.
This.

Simple as.

End of.

I don't expect comments on everything....as said, if proved to be wrong, it will be used to hit them round the head with. A vote of confidence is usually seen as indicating a real problem and is taken to be the opposite of what is said. End of season reviews usually take place at the end of the season. Les Reed isn't in the business of holding fans' sweaty hands.

Ah, I thought this would be another curious question, whether Reed/Krueger would be asked to stay after a takeover. Krueger in particular is Liebherr's man, but I suppose Reed brings more continuity to the table. Alternatively, all that could be in the bin, even if Liebherr keeps 20% of the club.
