I had a discussion with a Liverpool fan. I said James was better than TAA. He laughed and told me I was nuts and that there was no better right back in the Prem than TAA. He even suggested that James should change position if he wants to get into the England team. As good as TAA is and I do think going forward he is good, Reece James is a far better defender and at the moment is as good going forward too. It's all starting to come together chaps Happy place happy place Stamford Bridge.
Reece has improved out of sight this season. Initially he was great booming down the lines getting in great crosses but a bit uneasy in defence. Now he has played so much at right back with Silva and Zouma, his defence is immense. And still so young. Whether he's better than TAA or not isn't important to me, for Chelsea, he's the perfect replacement for our brilliant but now ageing captain, Azpi.
Unfortunately, Liverpool fans think TAA is the best there is because they haven’t had a decent team in 30 years. I’ve spoken to many a scouser and they just can’t see that James is on his tail and will soon over take him. Even the pundits are starting to suggest that James could command that England spot. Great for completion and will push the England team further.

For England, this couldn't be better. perfect to have 2 players of equal ability for each position.There will always be some differences, so the manager can chose which player is best suited to the opposition strengths and weaknesses. England looks to be heading for better things with other young players like Mount, Wilshere etc coming through. Like a National version of Chelsea , but all home grown. !!!!!

Next CL match starts at 7am here so looking forward to seeing some game time for CHO, Billy Gilmour, Abraham, and if selected, can Jorginho again play the attacking game he did last run out? Good to be able to run some of the "fringe" as often as possible, nothing like game time to sharpen them up.

yeah, james has been brilliant this year. I was a little critical of him last year (as i am with everyone) in terms of what he was doing well but this year i cannot spot a weakness in his game. Unfortunate for dave really but he really can't complain because reece is fantastic
Frank is managing to get a run for most of the squad, with so many games it's a tough job balancing trying to win and keep the top 4 spot, v's resting key players when possible. Can't quite work out why Tomori has disappeared, he looked full of potential and a perfect pupil for Silva.
