Give us a comparison of something comparable that's better value for money.

Why?? what is the point of that. We are not talking about anything else we are talking about football getting too expensive for the average welsh earner..<ok>

to give you a comparison, my season ticket at cardiff city in the championship costs £689.

the vast waiting list for season tickets suggests that tickets are very much in demand and there are plenty of fans waiting in the wings willing to pay more than what people like you currently pay.

    really? <laugh>

Why is it a poor example - so paying more for 90 minutes entertainment is OK if it's a band because you don't see them every week?!!! And the 'cost of going to a match?' - so that doesn't apply to watching a band does it? How do you get to gigs - flap your arms and fly!? And 'if you have a family to take'? So when you go and see a band your family can get in for free can they?

Football is entertainment - music is entertainment - football is far cheaper than live gigs (the most expensive Fleetwood Mac ticket was well over £100 by the way - and if you wanted a programme it would have cost you £30!), and you can also watch highlights for free after the match rather than having to pay for a DVD when it is released.

And I did break it down to the 'real' cost - £22, that is what it costs me - perhaps a couple of pence in shoe leather wear and tear walking to the stadium. 'You don't watch Fleetwood Mac every week' is a very poor justification of your argument and of course I have to pay for away games just the same as I would have to pay again if I wanted to watch Mac more than once - they don't let you into all the other gigs for free you know!!

Am disappointed Dai, very disappointed! ;)
