I've just started to look at this from a new perspective.

The vast majority really don't like him and are annoyed by the appointment - therefore this is a good thing!

    Well done Rafa!

Lets hope that his first signings are Mata and Ramirez to Liverpool and Downing and Joe Cole to Chelsea. Agent Rafa in charge at Chelsea.

Yeah I want him to do well as he is just a really nice guy as I found out when I met him by accident at a charity do and now know about all of the stuff he and his wife do around here.

Rafa is a good manager and will do well for however long he is there. It's a bit upsetting, TBH, but he needs a job and -- rather unbelievably -- Chelsea need another manager. Hopefully, and I'm sure Chelsea fans feel the same, it's only an interim appointment. <ok>

i think its hilarious frnakly... rafa is a nightmare for any owner really and moratti sacked him after less than 6 months (like none of us saw that one!) if ANYONE thinks that he'll last with an owner like ambramovic and a set of fans who already hate him they want their head examined.

after spending so much moeny chelsea once again give us all a good laugh by totally self destructing. no cl <laugh> falling to 3rd in the league.. sacking the players man.... hilarious.

lets just hope he sells us anyone we want for nowt while abramovich is on his yacht... anyone want mata or hazard... going cheap now.

Abramovich doesn't give a **** what Chelsea fans think and neither does Rafa. On top of that Rafa will not give a **** about the player egos at Chelsea. He'll actually finish the weeding out job started by AVB. More importantly he'll bring some strategic discipline.

  11. Mixed feelings. Head says good luck to Rafa, heart says 'Noooo!' <laugh>

Anyone else suddenly prefer Chelsea to win the league? I don't like Man Utd (obviously) and can't say I am keen on Man City either. However, I would love to see Rafa win the title and shut a few people up!

Also, heard and read loads of Chelsea fans complaining about this (prior to announcement), how long until they change their attitudes? If Rafa wins four or five straight away they will love him. If he gets a better version of Torres they will love him. If he helps Chelsea beat us they will love him.

Still can't believe it though, still was holding on that he would come back to us at some stage. Still might, but if Chelsea get out of the group, Rafa will have them BOSSING Europe.

I am absolutely delighted that he is back in a job! I just hope he can prove the numpties who say he was never that good or if he was any good why has he not worked for 2 years etc.. Still love Rafa and whilst Chelsea is not the ideal destination I am glad t see him back. To now have Fergie, Wenger, Mancini and now Rafa all competing for honours is great for the prem in all honesty.

And lets face it, I am not sure it affects us at Liverpool all that much, especially if its only til the end of the season. Realistically we are not competing for the top four this season, so its not like his position is going to undermine our chances.

Good luck Rafa and lets hope you win the prem and somehow get throh to the next stage in the champs league!

    You were wishing Rafa well.

TTD released Wishing Well back then.

If Rafa presides over the chavs beating us, I won't like it one bit.

I hope it was n't Rafa who convinced Sterling to sign for us.

It would be another reason to want to leave as he already wants to go back to London, but if Rafa was the one who impressed him enough to turn down the likes of Utd, Arsenal etc, then this couldmake him fancy a move even more and he and his agent hold ALL the cards here unfortunately.

Don't think Rafa's appointment would sway it that much; especially in light of it only being to the end of the season. It does seem that RA has somebody else lined up for next season already.

Why would Rafa want Sterling? they have enough quality in that area.
