Just confirmed on BBC. Rafa is the new chief chav. - well an interim one until the end of the season.
Gutted he's gone to Chelsea. Absoloutely loved Rafa and was gutted when he left us - whether he should have gone or not has been debated to death but would have taken him back in a heartbeat (not that I don't want Rodgers). It's going to be very weird if (and I say if because knowing RA if he doesn't win his next 6 games by 5-0 then he could be out of a job as well) he comes back to Anfield with Chelsea. Going to be a very weird reception he receives as a man who was in charge when our rivalry with Chelsea was at it's hightest. Think he's been brought in to try and prove Torres isn'a flop and try and re-ignite his career in time for Guardiola to come in the summer.
Wikipedia tells me that he is some old 80's singer... but I don't understand the reference. Personally, I'd be more gutted if United had success than Chelsea... Rafa being there raises the hope of the title not going to Manchester... I don't mind City much but having two teams capable of defying united is a good thing. If Rafa earns silverware and finally respect from the media... even better... being back in management with a competative club means he is more likely to return to us one day. Yeah... RA winning success is a tough pill... but it means Fergie and the Sheik don't win if he does. Rafa is a great manager but he will last less than a year there BC he does have occasional slumps... no matter how good you are Roman doesn't give people a chance to recover. I expect Rodgers to last longer at Anfiwld than Rafa at the bridge. This boosts our chance of Rafa returning.
Good luck to him. Top manager and top man. He'd only ever be interim as he has a habit of falling out with the board of whatever club he goes to. He should get a great reception when he comes back.
The chav fans will be fickle about it, as soon as Torres nets a hat-trick, they will be sniffing Rafa's ass. They got over Torres being a red quick enough. I wish him well. Agent Rafa is now implanted, expect Sturridge on a free in January Lets be honest, what would you prefer? The chavs to win big ears for a second time, or the mancs to get it for a 4th?
What a dilemma. I'm actually gutted about this, but wish him well. Let's be honest Chelsea were going to finish top 3 whether RDM stayed or not, I think citeh will win the title again. They don't deserve him though!
Really upset with this!. The thought of Rafa at Chelsea is heart breaking. Hope he is only there til the end of the season as I dont think I could handle it if he does for their academy what he did for ours. I wonder If Pep Segura is on his way there?
I'm delighted that he has made his return to management. In recent times, Rafa has been plagued by a misconception.
I can't stand the money twats at City, or the money twats at Chavski, but I can't abide United either. **** my life. Anyone but United has never been so tough to follow. I'm praying for a miracle at le arse or an even bigger miracle on Merseyside (Liverpool, obviously, Everton are beyond the divine powers of God to ever get there).
Chelsea don't deserve Rafa but Rafa does deserve a club with the resources of Chelsea. Rafa probably doesn't deserve the crap way Roman is going to treat him once the honeymoon is over though.
Well its only until the end of the season so it looks that way - might of even agreed it. Hope he doesn't get it full time.
I still have a place in my heart for Rafa and I'm pleased that he has another chance to prove himself in England, even if it is at Chelsea. Plus my opinion on Torres is that if Rafa can't get him firing for Chelsea, no one can. Anyway I see it as a win-win situation. If he's successful then I was right about him. If he fails then that's another top 4 spot up for grabs!
Never wanted Rafa to leave and gutted to see him go there. I wonder if he will move to London or stay on merseyside again just in case "the right role" eventually comes available?
